They lose first round pics on the o-line, so Johnny won't have as much time to find a receiver. IMO aTm will be slightly worse next season.

sherman had recruited a lot of good players despite what many aggies claim. basically, sumlin is winning (this year) with shermans players. they lose a lot on the OL. but, overall the move to the SEC will prove out to be the best move they have ever made. i predict tejas is going to be the one sucking hind tit going forward. many quality hi-school athletes would rather play lsu, bama, florida, etc than go to waco or iowa or kansas or lubbock. i've been to those places once and i have zero desire to return .

This.

And We will probably just lose 1 out of the two on the O-line. D'Moore would be a huge loss to the D and the senior LB, Porter, will sting too. The talent level that Sherman brought in and has been redshirted is BIG. The recruiting that the previous staff did and the current one is doing will keep us going and make us even scarier going forward.

This.

We lose Patrick Lewis, but have another Matthews behind him. My God, I love that family. In fact, I think Joeckel leaves, but possibly Jake stays so he can play a season with his brother. Sherman thought Ced-O was the best offensive lineman, and could be a hall of famer. He will slide over to a tackle spot.

Losing Moore could be huge, but the guy is only 20. Maybe we takes out insurance and wants more of the college lifestyle. We lose Porter, Nealy, and few DBs.

Damontre Moore is really close with Von Miller and his family and they are pushing for him to stay to get his degree. Jake Matthews is in a similar situation with a family history of going to the NFL and injury ruining that career. Better to have a degree to fall back on. Luke Joeckel will be the wildcard.

Jake Matthews is a Matthews. He's not hurting for $. And he wants to play with his brother next season. I can't see him leaving.

I think Joeckel is gone, but Matthews may return so he can have a chance to move to LT and prove himself there.

Do you think they enjoy having to go to class, make decent grades, etc, etc? Not to mention the potential injury factor. It's smart to leave early if you are a projected first or second rounder.

Sometimes. Depends how much you can improve. It was a brilliant move for Von Miller to return.

not really. We are really thin in a lot of spots and the two biggest worries to most Ags (not LSU fans apparently) are LB and S.

Two of our 3 starting LBers are seniors (Porter, Stewart). They play virtually every snap and the guys behind them outside of Baggs haven't shown much. We have a JUCO coming in that reminds me of Porter so hopefully that fills one void.

At Safety it's a total catastrophe already this season (see the deep balls Bama kept hitting). The problem is we don't seem to have anyone coming in that is going to be ready. Terrell is a senior so he has to be replaced and my best guess is one of the young corners steps up and we move Everett (the kid who got the last pick) to safety permanently (due to lack of depth, he's started there a few times this year). But we'll still have little depth unless one of the incoming freshman really step up.

Oline, at least to me, isn't much of a concern. Our backup oline has crushed when they've played (and they've played a lot). They are really really good. Sherman left the cupboard absolutely loaded on the line so while Joeckel or Matthews may leave, the guys who step in are more than adequate. I was told from someone that would know that they both want to stay but I'm also a realist in that they both could go (Matthews I'd actually be surprised about....little fact, none of the Matthews clan has ever left school early)
