Not every senior gets a ring, but you sign up for it at 90 credit hours. Roughly 90-95% of Aggies receive a ring, I think the next highest is Ohio State at 50%.
It is not a mandatory thing because it is so expensive. Men's rings cost a lot because of the size and the gold, roughly $1000 for mine. It was a gift from family so not as big of a deal but I can see how it could be for others.
I have been recognized as an Aggie a lot, even in the the Northwest.

People seem to forget the rushing stats. His passing is okay, to slightly better than average. It's the rushing that pushes him into insane levels.

He kicked at Tivy. He was making the kicks at practice. Our current kicker sucks arse. He was giving the kicker shite and Sumlin told him to try it. He failed and now he and the fans can stop complaining.

Johnny actually has kicked before, but it was in High School. Our kicker sucks arse and the game was in hand. Also, Sam Houston was targeting Johnny earlier in the game and just playing to hurt people, so I don't give a shite about bush league or their feelings.
