Or do they just dress the part?

How far reaching is that group?

They reach around quite regularly. It's a tradition.

Before this becomes a "gay" thread, let me tell everybody that the Corps of Cadets produces more officers than any school that isn't a service academy. They don't just "play" Army.

Thank goodness for "don't ask don't tell"

2,500 members. About 5% of the student body

bullshite, the actual ROTC component (the guys that actually commission) is a fraction of the corps, the rest are posers.

If you were at the game this weekend, the large block T was the entire corps, so that's how many there are.
I think there are 200-300 in the band.

They're posing as nothing but members of the Corps of Cadets.

Aren't the seniors the ones who wear the riding boots?
Posted on 10/18/15 at 8:25 pm to mikrit54
Yeah they are. They're expensive as shite too. They cost around a grand
Posted on 10/18/15 at 8:26 pm to mikrit54
And the boots cost even more.
Posted on 10/18/15 at 8:27 pm to AstroAg17

Do they have to pay for them out of their own pocket?
Posted on 10/18/15 at 8:28 pm to mikrit54
Usually. There are some scholarship type awards though

Interesting. I remember going back to the 60's when LSU played AM the first game of the season for several years. AM band always impressive to watch.

Approximately 42 percent of the members of the Cadet Corps receive a commission in the United States Armed Forces upon graduation.
It's a fairly large fraction.
