That's what I'm sayin' .... I fell from a 3rd story window and it almost killed me. Multiple broken bones and I lost two organs including my spleen. Bruised some others. Thirty feet is a long ways, I can only imagine falling from forty.
In jump school we used a 34' Tower to replicate a blast from 800' ... has to do with depth perception. A 40' fall, you would gain more speed, the ground would come-up pretty fast ... he's lucky if all he suffered was cuts.
