Interesting, so the SEC pushed through this expansion that most fans don't even want based on a promise of more money, and now, according to this, the TV overlords aren't even going to pay up other than the pro-rata share which means existing teams get the same amount.
Ridiculous. Can we send Texas and Oklahoma back?
The SEC actually has a bit of leverage, if ESPN does not want to play along make a schedule with no iron bowl, wlocp, tsio, egg bowl, LSU vs A,&M etc, give them weeks with no good matchups and they will step in line.
We own the game they own the right to televise, simply feed them shite sandwiches till they cave.

Don’t think it works like this. Once they are designated SEC, ESPN owns their media rights. They will increase the contract pro rata, just not pay a premium for higher visibility.
Doesn't work like that. When the deal was signed they weren't part of the deal.
They deal was 14 teams when the contract was signed. TX and OU is added benefit. If the SEC decides the need more money because of the deal because of added value then it's up ESPn to provide the money.
Otherwise couple options for the SEC. Void the contract or sue ESPN and they will win.
Don't show any OU or TX sports on ESPN.
Or demand a restructure of the deal.

There is actually a lot to like about this schedule
The only thing anyone should like about this "schedule" is the fact that it isn't real

If we aren’t getting any more money for putting up with Texas and Oklahoma then send them back.

Simply offer all TX and OU home games to the highest bidder

The whole point in adding OU and Texass to the SEC was so each of us could get more revenue. But ESPN/ABC/Disney does NOT have to pay us more money (per school) after UTX and OU are added in.
I would fire Sankey just for this reason. He is a moron to have gotten the SEC into this situation. The Big 10 schools will get $80 million each and all we are getting is $58 million each.
