At what point this season will Dan Mullen and Mississippi State

jump Florida State in the polls. If it doesn't happen after the Auburn blowout then I don't think it will happen until the egg bowl but only given that Ole Miss maintains its recent success.

Likely not going to happen. Most voters will keep FSU #1 solely on principle.

Their margin of victory has been pathetic and they've only played one ranked opponent (Clemson #22) and likely will not play another ranked opponent the rest of the season. This is the only reason I see a jumping happening. Otherwise they would remain #1 out of principle as you mentioned.

Not this weekend. Even if MSU beats Auburn, voters will not overlook FSU's huge trip into hostile territory against Syracuse this weekend. If they can just escape with a win, I don't see how you don't make FSU a unanimous number 1.

In that poll Auburn really only needed one more vote. However, if we win, state will drop and FSU will get some their points via better rankings on others polls(where FSU isnt 1)
But I agree, AU wins, they will be 1, MSU wins, they might be 1, but it will be close
