Yes. No worries about Team USA getting a spark of hope and then snuffing it.
Last World Cup we were in New York on the day the US played Germany in the final group match. We ran into some females with German jerseys and asked to get our pics taken. Posing for the pic this nice German lady tells me " we are going to crush you" she never smiled about the game

The football recruiting outlets make 90% of their money of Bama fans during the summer months.

That actually sounds hot.

It helps when the Baseball team makes a deep run in the NCAA Tourney.
Then you really just have July before pre-season hype starts in August.

I like golf and watching the PGA tour so that kind of gets me through during the summer months

This board is usually dead to me when I see baseball threads.
They are the worse.

I've decided to follow CFL Football this year to get past it. I'll see if I keep it or not. Preseason Football starts this week

Right after the bowl games and natty are done.

Mid to late July when I'm on the river trudging through shin deep water and blistering hot sun I may have a Chad Morris thought or hopefully some epiphany on the HUNH.

As soon as the Hogs play their last baseball game until Fall practice starts.

I don't. Football from Sept-Jan, basketball from Nov-Mar, hockey from Sept-Jun, soccer is year-round.
There's barely a week all year where at least one team I follow doesn't play.

After NBA finals, usually.

January and February. I can't get fired up about regular-season basketball, college or pro. LSU being better at college hoops would help me get through February a little easier.
March has the NCAA basketball tournament, late March/early April brings Major League Baseball, May/June brings NCAA postseason baseball. I coast on MLB until college football starts in late August/early September.
