The football program sucks and is a joke, just fold it and go all in on basketball and join a basketball conference like the ACC or even the big 12

Nah. Every conference needs bottom-feeders.
ETA: and basketball schools!

Nah, there are a lot of worse programs in the SEC than UF. Ya'll can't leave us.

Miami and fsu are in it.
There’s no advantage for Florida I
To be in the sec anyway

Besides, it would be asinine to have schools in the ACC that don’t reside in a state that is on the, you know, Atlantic Coast.
Crazy talk.

UF is elite in basketball and baseball. Very mediocre in football. We need yall in the SEC though as yall are the biggest Florida presence.

Monetarily there is, but what good is money if all you do is hoard it or gift it to the university?
I would be OK looking at moving conferences because we have lost all our annual rivalries except Georgia, and if we move, we can probably still keep Georgia on the schedule.
I mean what is the reason to be in the SEC if you aren't going to try and compete at the highest level in football, and/or don't play your rivals?
Being in the SEC has costs us our rivalry with Miami and Auburn, and now after this season we lose LSU and Tennessee.

The state of Texas is not in the “southwest”.
It’s in “Texas”.
Still, your point stands. At least the conference is contiguous, though.

Texas is too broad of a term. There’s no way you can say El Paso, Lubbock, Odessa or Amarillo can be considered anything but Southwest

We stay in the sec to play Kentucky/ South Carolina every year?
All our rival games of past: Auburn lsu Tennessee are gone
And as you said we could still play UGA every other year or every year.
Makes no sense to have all that money if we’re too cheap to use it for anything.

The SEC should jettison Florida, Kentucky, Missouri and the three Southwest teams. Bring back Georgia Tech and admit Clemson.
Go back to a 12 team Southeastern Conference with 2 six team divisions.
