Am I to interpret that your LSU fandom didn't start until you registered for Tigerdroppings in 2009?

I have been a tiger fan since the bert jones era and i would not trade him for any other coach. He has showed his loyalty to LSU and his recruiting is probable second only to saban.I like his quirky personality. His wins are pretty equal to bama since saban arrived there and it seems that since saban has had a little better recruiting classes and there win vs loss records are close i would say he has done well coaching. One last thing.Any coach that can go undefeated all the way to the ntg with JJ as QB is one hell of a coach.

Yea, I wouldn't either as a Georgian fan. All those championships your coach has and that winning record against Miles makes it a no brainer

IMO, Michigan courting Miles really sobered LSU fans up to the fact that Miles is pretty damn valuable to their program and after the extension and last year's performance the sentiment that Miles sucks sharply declined in popularity.

Look, as awesome as TD is, it isn't the only place to hear about what LSU fans are thinking.

The best case scenario with this response is that you missed the point. The worst case scenario with this response is that you missed the point.

It's not obvious to you, but it's obvious to everyone else that you are mad.

ETA: I'm not an LSU or Les hater by any stretch of the imagination. But for you or anyone else to collectively forget that it hasn't been all roses with CLM as your coach is hilarious.

please enlighten me as to what other boards you were reading back then. There aren't very many LSU boards around that have a large gathering.

The best case scenario is for you to admit your making shite up, because it's pretty obvious you are.

quote:

Like perhaps no 5-0 coach before him, LSU's Les Miles has managed to win all of his games while simultaneously enraging his team's fans. It got so bad that after the team beat West Virginia on Sept. 25, LSU athletic director Joe Alleva felt it necessary to write a letter to fans before last week's home game against Tennessee. Its purpose: to plead with them not to boo. "[W]hen some among the crowd are vocally disapproving of our own players or coaches, it is detrimental on many levels," the letter said.

quote:

How could a group of college-football fans have a reaction to their team that's so grossly disproportionate to its record? It may have something to do with the contrary nature of Louisiana, which wouldn't make anyone's list of the most coldly pragmatic states. "We have a very passionate fan base, and they're pretty sophisticated fans, but they're half psychotic," said Charles Weems, a former member of LSU's Board of Supervisors.

quote:

Despite the 2007 national title that Mr. Miles won, and his .789 winning percentage—the highest for any noninterim LSU coach in 100 years—many Tiger fans are convinced their coach is an incompetent manager who stumbles into success.

quote:

Mr. Miles said on a teleconference this week that fans' disgust is understandable. "We're frustrated," he said. "Certainly there were some mistakes made [Saturday] that we don't want to make."

That's just one article, home-slice. Hop into your time machine.

Don't think Miles would be a good fit at Bama, at least until he won big, but I have to admit he is a hell of a good coach. And I do think he could produce a quality team at just about any SEC school. I honestly do think Saban is better and wouldn't trade him for anyone in the game today, but there is no denying Miles is a great coach. Weird and wacky as hell but he wins.

I'm floored by some of the answers here.

Does the Armchair Coaches Federation really believe that Miles has the easiest job in America?

Come on, people. You really think it's easy to maintain the level of success he's had while at LSU?

God. Get over yourselves.
