They don't work (the "vaccine" nor the masks). The data clearly shows that now. In fact, the "vaccinated" people have become incubation chambers for the variants surfacing now.
It's difficult to be this wrong.
The vaccines work, as the data shows, to not only make it harder for you to get infected and spread covid, but if you do catch it, it makes the symptoms far less severe.
The new variant is a direct result of lack of vaccinations. Viruses change over time and replicate as they spread from host to host. The longer they are around and the more they replicate, the more likely it is that they form a variant. If we had more people vaccinated, the virus would have a much harder time of replicating.
The same people that bitch about masks and vaccines are the reason we have to wear masks and have businesses shut down. They're just too stupid to realize that.

See, even taking you at your word, do you think calling people stupid is going to make it more or less likely that they do what you want them to do? Forget this entire argument for a second, in what world does that make sense?
It’s actually an important question, because it can shed some light on if your motivations are truly to help people, or to simply feel superior to them.
I definitely know that when I want to persuade someone of something, I make sure to call them stupid first. If I REALLY want them to do something, I call them a f***ing idiot. It makes sense if you don’t think about it.

We aren’t talking about essential industry, we are talking about watching a football game.

I agree that not getting vaccinated isn’t smart but the reason we “have to wear masks and shut down” is because our leaders are pussies. There is a vaccine that is available and it works. If you want to risk it then fine. Risk it. That’s on you. Forcing everyone to wear a mask or places to shut down at this point is the dumbest shite someone could possibly do. Trying to protect people that don’t want your protection at the expense of others is ridiculous.

And it always, and I mean always, ends up creating more serious problems than the one it intended to solve.

It's difficult to be this wrong.

For starters, that virus mutates constantly and has from the start. They identified 30 different strains in the first month, and it just kept going from there. But some strains are more common than others, and those are the most common strains.
Furthermore, it is not a direct result of a lack of vaccinations.
Vaccinations are not a force field. They do not prevent the virus from entering your body, they do not prevent the virus from ever multiplying. They do provide your body the ability to fight back. And your body will, but it's not instant. During that time someone who is vaccinated can still have the virus mutate within them and they can still pass it on.
And that is likely a major reason why the cases are increasing. Vaccinated people are spreading it, thinking they are clear because they are vaccinated. Not the case.
What the data does seem to support is that the vaccine helps your body fight it off faster.
Beyond that, you're just repeating bullshite and it has no basis in science or any understanding in our immune systems. You're just saying shite you want to be true.

However, literally every piece of literature I’ve seen from every even borderline legitimate academic scientific source says the vaccine is clearly effective and safe.
This is not true. If it was true, the vaccine companies wouldn't need protection.
You ever see those lawyer commercials where they are like - did you or a loved one take this pill and later had these complications? If so, you can sue the piss out of them.
100% of those people had those pills prescribed by their doctors, they likely even got FDA approval, and so on.
In this case, you will never see such a commercial for these vaccines, because no matter what happens, they made it illegal to sue them.
So when the people who make it aren't willing to back their product, that says a lot more than any "piece of propa...literature".
And what do you mean it has to be political?
Have you considered: People who already have covid and thus have natural immunity? Why do they need a vaccine? Their body has already developed what it needs to fight the vaccine naturally once, and still has that same code.
So why do they need the vaccine? I had chicken pox as a child. Do I need to get he chicken pox vaccine now as an adult? No. Because I have natural immunity.
Ok and how about the risks of younger healthier people? Are you saying that there is 0 risk with the vaccine? If so you are wrong. It's a small risk, but not 0. So now you have something that 99.8% of people survive, and if you break it down by age group it's much lower. There is a point where it really doesn't make sense. It's all risk for 0 reward.
What you mean to say is - your opinion is politically based, and thus everyone who thinks otherwise must be as well.
