Are we good? Is there a chance at Omaha?

I'm afraid we just don't have the arms. Our pen makes me want to drink heavily ... every game. Still, I'm looking forward to the tourney.

Certainly improved under Vaughn. A lot will depend on which regional you draw and whether the team gets hot at the right time. I don't know that they're Omaha caliber yet, but crazier things have happened.

Yes to both. It's baseball there's always a chance. I just don't think Bohannon would bet the house on it....

I'm a Rob Vaughn fan and think y'all are going in a great direction.

I do not think Alabama is one of the best 8 teams in the country. If we had 2 Quick’s in the starting rotation and two more in the bullpen we would be. But we lack pitching. When he or good Zane Adams is starting (you never know with him) Alabama is liable to beat anyone.

Alabama is a top twenty team. If we can consistently be ranked in the teens that means the coach is doing one hell of a job. I hope no one poaches Vaughn.

At this point I am just hoping we host. If so, then Alabama baseball will have exceeded what any reasonable fan should expect (winning SEC record, top 20 ranking, hosting a regional).

Could they make it to Omaha? Yes. Are the odds in their favor? No.

Just a matter of getting hot at the right time. Omaha could use a little more Bama and a little less Tennessee. It's been too long since the Tide have been. Fond memories (as an LSU fan) of some Omaha battles between Bama and LSU. I remember when Koerner led off in 97 CWS finals with a homer...I was laying on my grandfather's living room floor, and when he hit the homer I turned to look at my paw and he was just laughing. We had gotten used to LSU hitting homers!

Like i said...y'all get on a hot streak and anything could happen.

I remember that well, watched it with my Dad. Roberto Vaz, our best player broke his foot stepping on a baseball before the USC game and missed the WS. I'm wondering if this started some kind of curse

I was in high school when Bama got on a real heater in baseball...with Wells, I had them picked to be the next big thing...

Need bullpen arms to step up and some luck. Solid defense is an absolute must.
