Alabama AG ANNOUNCES 10 ARRESTS FOR MISUSE OF LAW ENFORCMENT INFORMATION; INVESTIGATION ONE OF LARGEST IN HISTORY OF ACJIC
(MONTGOMERY)?One of the largest investigations in the 34-year history of the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center has resulted in the arrests of 10 people, including a former dispatcher for the Adamsville Police Department. Attorney General Troy King said the defendants are charged with a variety of crimes involving misuse of confidential law enforcement information about 19 individuals. Since Friday, several of the individuals turned themselves in to the Jefferson County Jail after they were made aware of the outstanding indictments. Others were arrested by agents of the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center, and one additional defendant has not yet been arrested. Those arrested were taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
“The LETS program is an invaluable tool for law enforcement, and the information this system contains is protected by law. Access to this data is privileged and confidential, and it is a crime to use LETS for any purpose other than a legitimate law enforcement or criminal justice purpose. It is essential that we maintain the integrity of this vital system to protect the citizens of Alabama,” said Attorney General King.
“ACJIC is dedicated to maintaining the integrity and the security of the information in Alabama’s criminal justice system,” said ACJIC Director Maury Mitchell. “Our team of field agents spent over eight months diligently unraveling the maze of activity leading to these indictments. I am proud of their dedication, and also very thankful to the law enforcement agencies assisting us with this investigation.”
Attorney General King’s Office presented evidence to a Jefferson County grand jury, Bessemer Division, on March 24, 2009, and to a Jefferson County grand jury on April 3, 2009, resulting in the indictments. Specifically, the indictments charge the following individuals with these crimes:

I will build an idol to you auburntiger77 and follow every word of this. Even if it means losing my house to foreclosure, my wife divorces me and lose my job. There are more important things in life than job and family. I will forgo showers and keep a bucket nearby so that I don't have to ever stop searching for the holy grail to the downfall of Bama.

HERE IS SOME BIG BIG NEWS----- I will post here and then add to main page...

All of this leaves us with some intriguing questions:
* Is there a connection between Paul W. Bryant Jr.'s fraudulent business practices and the University of Alabama's success on the football field? Has Bryant invested ill-gotten funds into the Crimson Tide program? Does Bryant have an unusual ability to write large checks on short notice to help the Tide gain, and sustain, championship status?
* Who exactly called off the investigation of Alabama Re and why?
* Does someone with Paul W. Bryant Jr.'s history have any business helping to run the affairs of a major university? If Bryant conducts his personal business affairs in a fraudulent manner, what kind of influence is he having over a public institution?
Alabama Football Booster Has Ties to Insurance Fraud
Paul W. Bryant Jr., the most prominent financial booster of the University of Alabama's football program, has connections to a massive insurance-fraud case that resulted in a 15-year prison sentence for a Pennsylvania man.
The revelations come less than a week after Alabama defeated the University of Texas to win the BCS national championship game in Pasadena, California.
