The only contingency for a player who "didn't know" about money exchanges if it was said player's parent though. For Manziel to get in trouble based on the rules in place, they still have to show that he either told Fitch to seek out money for his time or found out about it after the fact. If Manziel can claim ignorance over his friend asking for money, nothing will happen.
Specifically addressing money to sign at a school.

SACS is gonna be investigating A&M soon...

any press is good press though.
As a marketing/PR person, this is a fallacy. It used to be the case, but in today's 24/7 news cycle, and with the prevalence of social media, this is no longer true.
Now, real and lasting damage can be done to an individual's reputation (or company's) by some pissed off people on twitter. Things that used to be brushed under the rug now go viral in minutes. That old adage just doesn't apply anymore.

Especially for something like this. You don't want this kind of press when you are recruiting and trying to be taken seriously. It did NOTHING for Auburn except magnify every single incident.

That was a sarcastic comment, just a b t dubs.

obviously you haven't read the entire thread. The rule has already been posted several times debunking your claim.

I didn't realize you said that. Had I been paying attention, I would have known it was sarcastic.

You're right Bella, this is not good for A&M's recruiting efforts, ad I can't imagine what a disruptive influence Johny is going to be in their locker room. His teammates can't be happy with him.
Eddie, somehow this doesn't surprise me.

It happened on Jan 6, 2013. The Patriot Act ledgers/CTR's are to be reviewed and reported every 30 days. So this should have been acted upon back in February by this broker's CPA, unless it was never recorded, which means it's in direct violation of the Patriot Act.
I make 10k transactions all the time and it does not need to be reported. I think you might be reading a little too much into that

Total disaster. He already gets credit for their hard work. This would piss me off so much if I were his teammate.

SO . . when's the next time you think we'll see the Heisman awarded to a freshman?

um, your bank has to report it.. and they have for decades as an anti money laundering measure
Posted on 8/5/13 at 1:38 pm to NYCAuburn
I just thought the bank reported them.

Ya my problem is when I go outside of the rant, I get taken seriously.
There was a 5 page thread on the TD help board about me being a child predator...

I follow several of his teammates on twitter and am still friends with a few of them IRL.
They're behind Johnny. "Us against the world" type thing, but they're behind him. And by all accounts, JFF is a good locker room type guy, fwiw.

Maybe it's my Alabama roots, but I think the Heisman has sort of jumped the shark anyway. It gets so much hype and it just doesn't seem that important. And it's so political.

The media are the only ones who do this, tbh. Manziel fumbles his words sometimes in being so quick to praise his O-line and receivers, watch any interview where that comes up.

It'll be interesting to see what happens if the wheels fall off. It's easy to be a good teammate with success. I guess that's like anything though... Friends, relationships...
