That was the part of the article that pissed me off the most. Made it seem like neither A&M nor Aggies cared about Manziel as a person.

Almost all parents love their kids. Almost all teenagers are dumbasses who frick up a lot.

Not true at all. Aggies are a family, almost to the extreme.

Sorry, that title has already been claimed in the SEC. You'll need to come up with something else.

I really feel bad for Sumlin if this plays out poorly for JFF. Guy has worked his black arse off putting A&M back on the map against odds stacked against his favor, only to have some 20 year old punk torpedo those efforts.

He also benefitted and capitalized on the momentum Manziel helped create. I think Sumlin is awesome and trust him through all this but it's a two way street.

You know a college player is too big when they have a personal assistant. Anybody know if this is actually true?

Yes, it's in the ESPN the Magazine article. Kid quit school just to be his personal assistant.

Problem is you can't have a college-aged person as a personal assistant

I love how espn runs these stories about kids getting in trouble for trying to profit from their performance on the field, for which they are not paid. When do we see an article on espn making $100 of millions off these kids?

And do you have a link that states this besides the one you already linked that shows nothing?

No, I don't have a link that states that Tieman represented that he was taking the signatures to the middle east for soldiers. But that will come out. It has been reported that the NCAA called Tieman and others in June so the investigation has been underway for quite some time. Regardless, ESPN has known about it for a while and decided to sit on it. That info is telling.

I don't feel sorry for Sumlin. He could have sat JFF some last year to get some control, but he preferred to win and get all that Johnny Football publicity. Yeah, it's tough, but he made his call.

Why would LSU fans rejoice? They could use more 3 interception games...

That 20 year old punk got him a million dollar raise.

Ummm...

This is known. I mean, the kids know going in that they will not, er...should not make any money off playing the sport in college. And of course these other companies make money, should they bring us the games for free?

I'm not saying I'm against athletes getting paid something for their effort, but play by the rules that are in place and their won't be any trouble.

Yeah LSU was worried they may hurt their nuts while bouncing them off his facemask again.

Roger, it would be nice if you updated OP with established facts, pertinent allegations and up-to-date status...with brevity in mind. Be easier to read than the soon to be 100 pages and more informative than the dancing banana.
