That taping wasn't illegal, that notion was debunked many pages ago when the CT law was linked on here.

Bingo. You just can't fix stupid.

Regardless...he'd be ruined far worse than anything he could do to the Manziels.

Obtaining that tape is a poison pill for anyone working at ESPN.

Is the 2 party approval contingent upon where the video is being shot? I've always thought that that type of thing wouldn't need anything but owner of premises approval if shot on owner's property.

Hell, I'm no lawyer...just curious.

It was signed into law to limit the use of wiretaps.

True.

But that gets tricky. Getting rid of the video is easy enough. But they'd also have to pay off the broker and trust him enough to get on the stand to perjure himself when he's summoned to court to produce the video. He'd have to lie and say it never existed or he doesn't know what happened to it.

That's putting an awful lot of faith that the scumbag won't take their money then tell the truth anyway because he's afraid of going to jail for lying under oath.

Not gonna rehash it all, but scroll back 10 pages or so. The video isn't "illegal".

And honestly, do you think JM took cash for signing the stuff? Not talking about proof, but what does your gut tell you?

What would you think if this story was about AJ McCarron?

Personally I don't see what it matters, if Joe Schad's report was correct and complete. There's no proof in there that JM took money.

We know, no matter how many times an aggie says there is no evidence that proves any of these allegations y'all still keep speculating how many games he'll be suspended.

But by all means keep thinking that unnamed sources who pre-emptively refuse to cooperate with the NCAA and videos that may or may not exist because the owner refuses to show it to anyone else are going to get Manziel suspended.

So. it says on MSN that the Manziels are selling their 2400sf. $369,000 house in Bryan, texas. While that's not chicken feed, it certainly isn't the home of east texas oil barons like we have been led to believe. It also says pop sells cars for a living. I live in a $360,000 home with no mortgage; I am a decently employed chemical engineer and there's no way I can afford to do the stuff he has been doing so what gives?

It is amazing to me that aggie fans don't seem to care if they have a self-centered moron who could damage their program for years. It is not worth scholorship reductions and mediocrity for years for one guy.

Be mad the NCAA has rules that are just silly at best.

That doesn't mater. All that matters is that Johnny agreed to abide by them when he became an NCAA athlete. He can't accept money for anything related to his skills or performance, and he can't knowingly sign things that he knows are going to be sold for money. If he, or anyone working on his behalf, solicit money for his signatures, regardless of whether they are paid or not, he is no longer an amateur athlete and his eligibility is done. Uncle Nate is the issue here, as much as anything - he's an agent!

"I can't say much," Darnell told USA TODAY Sports, "other than we're working through the process. He's cooperating with the investigation. We think when all this comes out on the other end, he'll be the starting quarterback for the Aggies against Rice."

Well there you have it. Don't we feel silly? Manziel's attorney says he is innocent!

The Manziel Family attorney thinks JFF will be starting against Rice? Shocking

If everyone is comfortable enough for Johnny to start, I wonder how much the videos cost.

You Aggies are something else. If the kid is a shitheel and did this you should be glad if he gets caught and kicked out of College Station. I know I'm happy that Pryor is gone.

Oh look, it's a Yankee. Let's all pretend to be nice and care what he says.

FWIW, OSU fan, I'll be glad to see him gone, sincerely. As I'm sure you can understand.
