No seriously, what in the world has he done that hurts A&Ms rep?

I dunno, I guess it's kind of subjective, depending on how seriously you take all that "Aggie honor code" shite, right?

If he's ineligible, he hurts the entire program and basically slaps the entire university in the face. Kind of a big deal IMO.

Yeah, it's not like as though anything has come out in the summer which would indicate that Johnny and/or his parents aren't exactly thrilled with A&M or anything...

A line in an article about tension between the school and the family now means they need to worry about a lawsuit and should dump the kid off the team?

Really?

Jobu - correct. Not because experience is precisely needed here in the law. We got lawyers for days that can churn that out. It's about who knows who. That's it.

I didn't jump to any conclusions, you dumb motherfricker. All I did was suggest that things aren't quite as rosy between the Manziels and A&M as they look from under your maroon shades.

what exactly has he done to trash the schools rep?

twitter? lol

partying with celebs? lol

reminding us that CFB players get money under the table? lol

You sort of answered your own question. Most schools do a pretty good job of keeping their star athletes...even returning Heisman winners...under control. Manziel is ultimately responsible for his own actions, but A&M and Sumlin have done a piss poor job of supervising him. They've shown that they are way, way out of their league when it comes to dealing with a celebrity athlete on their roster.

Not really. Its a big deal for him but since nobody with the university is tied to the wrongdoing its not going to blow back on A&M.

Its a stupid decision that Johnny made.

Its not like he was getting paid by a booster to come to A&M.

The kid sold some autographs. The average Joe will think that is an idiotic rule and come down harder on the NCAA than they ever will A&M.

what has he done?

1. flung racial slurs at a minority.
2. was involved in a 2 or 3 on 1 fight with that same minority individual.
3. Sported 2 Fake ID's
4. Presented them to the police

1 -4 all occurred in the same night. before he ever played a down for the Aggs. This is why he was initially suspended for the Season.

do I need to go on?

Saban would suspend his arse immediately. Or maybe he wouldn't. I have no idea how Saban would react if he had a good QB.

Is Sumlin or any coach for that matter (outside of S&T) allowed to contact the players during the summer? Most of the antics were during that time.

Also, as an aside, Sumlin seemingly did the best thing for JFF during the Heisman run... He muzzled him.

If his amateur eligibility is ruled to be gone.. what do you think the signature moment of his college career will be?
