What? We're using the same lawyers as Auburn. I'm pretty sure the NCAA can request bank statements regardless.

Cyde, yes it is exactly what it means. The NCAA has no legal authority at all. They cannot summons or subpoena, JFF, his associates, or family members. With lawyers in the mix its highly unlikely the NCAA will be able even require bank statements ala the newton case. A good Atty shuts this down, and does it fast.
They can do it with anybody under the NCAA umbrella, which includes players and families, they are even trying to further this to his friend since he was his employee. I think you are mistaking the subpoena powers or lack there of for people outside the NCAA. Like the memrobelia broker in this case.

They can request, but the manziels won't be required to provide them.

ATM mentioned TWICE!!
Are you fricking serious?

Not providing bank statements could be considered not cooperating with the NCAA. They could rule him ineligible for that.

That's the questionable part. What does this Atty / autograph broker/ bama hitman do or say to the NCAA to attempt to save face.

The people outside the NCAA umbrella don't have to say a thing. So unless he/they do business with a member institution or the NCAA themselves, he won't talk. No reason to, and not in the best interest. However if they paid Jm's assistant and he could be forced to release his info under the rules.

Yes, I'm fricking serious, as opposed to simply serious. And you conveniently left out this part:
"and more ridicule over our school's ridiculous track record on cheating"
A lot of younger Aggies admire Jackie Sherrill. I'm not one of those. He did some good things at A&M but I was ready to burn him at the stake when he said "you can't prove anything."
Our track record is horrible. That doesn't mean we should just accept cheating.

I bit naive honestly. Which college student base/program hasnt broken this rule year in and year out. If that meant so much to you then I suppose you werent around for the shitstorm of the 80's and early 90's and if you were then you probably wouldnt be affliating yourself with A&M athletics in general.
Being caught cheating or stealing is understandable. Asking college students not to lie is a pipe dream.

Nah. It's a bammer/tsip plot.

Is it just me or are more non-Aggie fans begging and pleading and attempting to sway us into hating this guy than there should be.
It's been this way all offseason.
Manziel pisses other fanbases off...a lot. A&M fans as a whole have taken on troll face mentality all offseason because most of us didn't care at all. This INFURIATED many ranters to such a level that they started BEGGING us to hate him.
Many fans, myself included, have turned the tide with this. Even if Manziel didn't do anything wrong, he is an idiot for letting a friend from HS do stuff on his behalf which led to this. He is not anywhere near the ideal QB and I don't really want him to stay past this season anymore. I want to take what we can get and cut bait.
That being said, this will all amount to nothing. When it does, A&M fans will go into overdrive ala Auburn 2010 and piss off the rant to such a level that they literally wont be able to sleep at night knowing that Manziel pisses them off so much and we don't care.

This is my point. You said Aggies don't tolerate cheating or cheaters.

Its as plausible, as a very wealthy kid jeopardizing his future for just few dollars.

Actually, it's more the A&M fans that piss us off than anything.
