March 20, 2017- Will Wade Hired as LSU Basketball Coach

June 19, 2017 and Sept. 15, 2017- Casey Donnelly, one of the attorneys representing Adidas executive Jim Gatto, read a transcript of a call that allegedly occurred between June 19, 2017 and Sept. 15, 2017, per court records, between Wade and Christian Dawkins, another defendant in the trial.

The call was allegedly in reference to Balsa Koprivica, a 7-foot center from Montverde, Florida.

The transcript, from ESPN:

"So you said to me in Atlanta there was a 2019 kid I wanted to recruit, they can get him to LSU, you would have funded," Dawkins told Wade, according to Donnelly. "Would you want Balsa?"

"Oh, the big kid?" Wade asked.

"Yeah," Dawkins confirmed.

“OK. But there’s other (expletive) involved in it,” Wade said. “I have got to shut my door ... Here’s my thing: I can get you what you need, but it’s got to work.”

June 21, 2017- Balsa tweets- "I have received an offer from LSU."

September 2017- A large-scale FBI probe into college basketball has resulted in federal corruption charges for 10 people nationwide, including four assistant coaches.

January 27, 2018 - LSU suffers horrible loss to Auburn 70-95

February 2018
-Former LSU basketball player Tim Quarterman received $16,000 while he was a junior at LSU. In addition to Quarterman’s payment, former LSU basketball player Jarell Martin also allegedly received $52,000 from Miller’s firm.

"Wade said at his weekly media availability, "The facts are there’s been zero inquiries, there’s been zero contact by the NCAA to me, my staff, my players, our administration, our school. There’s been zero inquiries or contact made by the NCAA.”

Alleva stated,
"While LSU has not been contacted by federal, league or NCAA officials, we can confirm a proactive and voluntary examination of current coaches and players was conducted by compliance officials and outside legal counsel in the fall of 2017," Alleva said. "That examination found the program in full compliance with NCAA, SEC and University rules and regulations.

"LSU will continue to monitor basketball and other athletic programs for NCAA and SEC rules," Alleva concluded.

If Pearl can survive all the garbage and nonsense he's getting away with in Auburn, the NCAA will make Wade the poster boy for how to run a program.

Too many teams are involved to kill them all. Everyone gets a stern warning.

I'm sure this is no correlation to why LSU has such a strong class in 2018 after being mediocre at best the last few years

The guy just needed Coach O's gumbo recipe and Wade was getting it for him.

What's the big deal?

On a side note. Why does the FBI investigate these sort of things?

Oh Idk, maybe because it's illegal

They're investigating corruption charges. College athletics are highly corrupt, especially CBB and it's connections to the AAU
