The main reason given is that the "students" are not on campus to watch the game, like every student at the UofA is from LR...

That used to be used for a Lame excuse to keep the Egg Bowl in Jackson, but since moving on campus crowds have been great. Even the games that were played on Thanksgiving night.

who cares? its a dump. RS is a really nice stadium. Arky should be playing all their home games there.

I agree that it's a dump and RRS is much better, but Arkansas is in a unique situation. The school is located in the far NW corner, but traditionally, most of our recruits have came from central and southern AR.

It is not as if it was a decision made by public vote.

I mostly just like it because the LSU fans seem to hate it

I haven't looked at Arky's roster lately. but I'd be willing to bet a good percentage come from Texas.

Sure, but traditionally, central and southern AR has been the main recruiting base, along with some from TX.

Texas annexed Arkansas?

Arkansas and LSU first played each other in 1901, and have played each other a total of 54 times. They have played in Fayetteville only once (Arkansas won in its first SEC season in 1992).

From 1910-1912, they played each other in Little Rock each season.

From 1913-1936 they played each other in Shreveport every season (never realized this 'til now).

Traditionally, but NWA is becoming better since the population boom. Mainly O-linemen and an occasional skill position player.

at Arky. The general thinking among LSU fans is that ya'll have a pretty campus and a really nice stadium and we'd rather see the game there. Compliments are over rated anyways.

They played a couple regular season games in Memphis, for some reason.

I'm sorry, but it just reminds me of how opposing fans hated Barnhill Arena, back in the day

Would give anything to play in there again. Incredible place.

Exactly.

Oh "its a dump", "its so shitty", etc.

That is a lot easier to say than "It is a really difficult place to play"...

If I was the Arkansas Athletics Dictator, here's what I would do:

Tear down WMS. Replace it with 70-80k stadium (maybe LR could get a small bowl game ). Move all home games except for one SEC game per year to RRS. The home game in LR would be LSU one year, and an alternating opponent the next.
