I'm taking tonight off. I'll let others troll and sit back to nurse my Table Rock Lake sunburn.

Hell I was wrong too. I just said on the last page that this past decade was your best ever however I didn't realize you were that good in the 60's. In regards to the 60's you always hear about Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Michigan State, LSU and Ole Miss. I didn't realize that Missouri was in the same breath as those schools for that time fram
Don't worry most have no idea how good a program Mizzou was at one time. Let's face it if ANY team not named Notre Dame went 2 whole decades with not just losing records but 2-9 and 3-8 seasons in the last 30 years they leave the national conscious.

Both Missouri and Texas A&M should have more immediate success in the SEC than Arkansas given that the Arkansas football program was in shambles upon entering the conference. Both Missouri and Texas A&M are bringing solid football teams. 1991 Arkansas was bad.
Of course, I think the level of competition in the SEC has improved significantly since then. The relative conference strengths between the SEC and SWC circa 1990 was as disparate as the relative conference strengths between the SEC and the Big XII circa 2011. There will still be a learning curve for the newcomers.

All I know is I loves Mizzou's offense. Not sure how well it will fair in the SEC consistently though.

Arkansas came into the SEC from the SWC which was pretty much the Big 12 South having a 20-12 conference record for the 4 years before entering the SEC. Missouri comes into the SEC from the Big 12 North with a similar conference record in 4 years of 22-12. Arkansas went on to go 3-4 and 4-3 their first two seasons in the SEC. The wins in conference all came against losing teams by seasons end except for a quality win over #2 Bama in 93' and beating a 9-3 Tennessee team in 92'. Will Mizzou make this a trend? Will they come from having a respectable record to being very average over the next few years.
We were not very good when we joined the SEC.
In 1990, we went 3-8. In 1991, we went 6-6.
Ken Hatfield had left and Jack Crowe had taken over in the 1990 season. Hatfield had gone 55-17 in the years before Crowe was hired, but Broyles decided it was time for Hatfield to go.

More importantly 2-3 against Texas A&M.
Actually, 38-24-3 against aTm before we entered the SEC.
