Wow that schedule is brutal

If Bielema did one thing good at Wisconsin it was TE's. He put 6 TE's in the NFL in 7 years at Wisconsin and I've seen Pederson projected as the top TE in next years draft. Henry will be more than just a tackle
Fair.
quote:
He was the #2 RB in Texas but wasn't that good.
He was number 3, and the gap between him and 5 stars Johnathan Gray and Trey Williams was more like a gorge.
He had no major instate offers. He was a decent high school player, nothing more.
quote:
Keon Hatcher and D'Arthur Cowan are both sophomores this year and are in the 2 deep. Also Mekale McKay who was our #2 receiver last year and was in the same class as those two. Very bright future between those three
All three stars.
quote:
Very similar to A&M's obsession with Matthews
I can see that.
One fan base holds in high esteem an All-American, First Team All-Conference tackle who's a projected top 10 pick.
The other champions its second team all conference center when its list of talented players.
And unlike OM, the Bret project hasn't lifted off, which is another reason why TAMU losing to OM would be more likely than losing to Arky.
quote:
Did I ever debate this? A&M will beat us this year. That however, has more to do with learning the new schemes than talent. We were much more talented than Ole Miss last year and still got rocked by A&M while OM played you close.
This discussion spun-off from my response to your fellow hog. He thinks TAMU losing to Arky is just as likely, if not more, than TAMU losing to OM.
OM played us close because we turned the ball over an uncharacteristic 6 times. But I like their talent more than Arky's, especially the platoon of 5 stars they're bringing in.
quote:
You did the same thing for OM.
I only listed their incoming skill position players. We were discussing Arky's lack of offensive talent, you asked me to identify some of OM's offensive talent.
They also signed the best player in 2012, the best tackle, and another 2 or 3 five stars. They're also recruiting better than Arky in 2014.

All right, two down a few more to go.

You missed the part I added because I knew what your point was going to be.

All three stars.
Depends on the site you use. Hatcher is a 4* Composite on 247 and Cowan on ESPN (lol I know but work with me here)

Swanson was second team all-conference behind the guy who won the Rimington Trophy and was a two time All-American. It's not like we are talking scrubs here. He will be first team All-Conference this year and has a very good shot at being an All-American.
And I listed him because I was going down the list of every position on offense. I think you are getting our conversation confused with the other one you were having.
quote:
I only listed their incoming skill position players. We were discussing Arky's lack of offensive talent, you asked me to identify some of OM's offensive talent.
I asked you to list their current offensive talent on the roster and you listed incoming recruits. That's what started this whole long conversation.
P.S. My wife might kill me and possibly you too because I stopped in the grocery store to respond. Whoops.

Correct. But you broadened the scope of the conversation with this gem:
quote:
That is why we are looking at a 6-6 type of season this year but we should be set up for very nice years in '14 and '15 as these guys move in to their junior and senior years.
To which I responded with a faint jab:
quote:
I mean, who knows. You listed a few ostensibly talented offensive players.
To which you responded:
quote:
You did the same thing for Ole Miss
But no--I didn't. I listed guys who I think will make their offense better, which isn't necessarily sufficient to set them up for nice years in '14 or '15.
However, what might be sufficient are some of the other big time guys they signed in 2012 in addition to the skill guys. Arky doesn't share that circumstance.

I believe the door opened when you brought up Treadwell because I responded about Alex Collins. I couod be wrong. Now we're just going in circles I think.

Arkansas WILL make a bowl game, you heard it here first. BOOK IT.

The biggest loss last season in the running game was Kiero Small being done for the season after the first game. He is probably the most physical FB in the league and was a key in our running game in 2011.
JC Copeland says you're wrong

Deal with 5-7.
Be happy with 6-6.
7-5? :fap:

Was it 2009 when the arky corner took auburns WR's helmet off face mask to face mask? Halftime show was some douchebag playing piano...

Yeah that was Jerico Nelson, awesome play.

You don't want to get into a Kiero vs. Copeland blocks and hits comparison. You lose that battle 9 times out of 10.
Curious how many facemasks Copeland breaks in a season. Kiero had 8-10 he broke the year before. The old equipment manager had a little shrine for them.

Copeland is a proven commodity. Broken facemasks mean jack shite
ETA: the players reaction to Copeland's name being called during the big cat speaks for itself

It correlates to how hard he's hitting LB's and busting open holes for the RB's.

So is Kiero. Regardless of how you rank them, they're the top two FB's in the SEC.

I don't think either side will budge on this one, but if you like Copeland you would also like Small. If you like Small you'd like Copeland.
