Someone asked how it was done during the SWC days earlier, an older gentlemen said that the aggy band would come up early and stay in Ft. Smith and perform at either the Southside or Northside HS game on Friday night, depending on which had a home game.
Apparently they would bring the whole band up for the game. Nothing is preventing aggy from bringing their whole band to this game, they would have to use tickets from their allotment to seat all of them.
FWIW.

If Roy decides to start some threads, I think he has some Pondwater Jack potential in him.
Hell, it might be Pondwater Jack.

351 posts was just right.
Then you had to go and post one more time. 352 posts made it excessive.
way to go....

I didn't make either trip in '75 (thank God) or '77, but I have a BQ classmate coming here for the Ole Miss game and we'll get to the bottom of this

Thinking a bit harder I don't actually know that the Arkansas band marched at Kyle Field - I just don't remember. But Texas, Baylor, Rice, SMU, TCU, Tech sure did.

Like A&M, Tech and Baylor either sent the full contingent or no one. Can't remember when the Horns started sending pep bands to distant road games. LSU brought a full band to Kyle Field when they came in '87, IIRC.

The funny thing is he meant that to be an insult. I hope you were suitably insulted.
