The only thing good that Morris did here was recruit Texas harder than the previous coaches. Treylon Burks was a former five star from Warren. But because he committed early to Arkansas, his rankings plummeted down to a four star. I watched him in high school and he was a man among boys. He was good enough as a freshman to start for most SEC teams.

Rakeem Boyd is underrated. He had over a 1,000 yards rushing last year with the worst offensive linemen in the SEC. They will improve and so Boyd will have better numbers.

The quarterback situation was bad because Chad wanted to bring his guys instead. Ty took a lot of blame in 18. He didn't have the protection and did not have any receivers to throw to. He wasn't a good quarterback but in a better situation he could move the chains.

Chad brought in Ben Hicks. But Hicks lost his spot at SMU. That was a red flag. Nick Starkel was another transfer but he had issues with Justin Bieber ripping a shirt. Another Red flag. Austin allen led the SEC in passing back in 16. But Sam Pittman left the year before. The offensive line fell apart and Austin started getting hit. He started losing his composure and he was never the same.

This is why I don't understand why people give Franks a hard time when they could easily get a Nick Starkel who three five interceptions against San Jose State. I'll take average numbers from any quarterback right now than what we had.

The team had a lot of quitters and the defense I believe purposely let Ty Storey move the ball and score on them. When the game was over, several hog players surrounded to say congrats.

It is very apparent that the team has rebelled against Morris since the first day.

Nutt is a good example of open mouth, insert foot. No one ran him off but himself. When you run his mouth like he did then fans will eventually turn on you. That is why when the 06 year ended in disaster, he used the off season to look for other jobs. He was turned down until Ole Miss was in the picture.

Nutt needed to go sooner. He was the first head coach since the 50s to survive back to back losing seasons. He squandered multiple chances to win an SEC title here. That is why he was trying to leave because one of the best backfields in SEC history was gone. A losing season was just around the corner and he would get fired in 08.

Petrino was his worst enemy. If he came clean and did what he needed to do to keep his job then he would still be here.

I don't think the problem in Fayetteville is being in the SEC. No, these have been self-inflicted wounds.

It didn't work out for Morris, but he recruited a good group of WRs. And apparently Rakeem Boyd has figured out that he has to go to class. Hate that Boyd had to leave A&M. He's a good RB.

The QB situation there has been a disaster since the younger Allen brother left. Hogs need Franks to just be average, if nothing else, to give Boyd and the WRs a chance to make some plays.

Chad Morris is a Texas A&M guy first and must have decided to be just that and not think about Arkansas first guy when he became the HC of Arkansas!

Better hope that Arkansas will not be beating your team this fall!

The best in state player in 2020 went to A&M.

He was forced to play his senior year in Arkansas because he was ineligible on the Tennessee side of Memphis. He was only “in-state” for a couple of months lol
