As a mizzou fan, I hope Petrino or someone like him is the Arkansas hire for recruiting/portal purposes. I just don’t see long term value in that type of hire.

Opposing teams will be more afraid of Petrino than Pittman.
Not saying they’re going to have a great season but they could surprise a team or two.

And army won multiple national championships in the 1940’s. It’s a different world with portal NIL. He’s a fine OC but I wouldn’t hire him as HC. Agree to disagree but more to this job than 10-15 years ago.

Hiring Petrino isn’t a long term proposition. It’s more like seeing what these kids can do when the HC isn’t as much about loving them up and more about putting his foot in their arse when they screw up. It’s about seeing if Petrino has anything left as a head coach. It’s about getting our shite together administration wise, maybe catching up in the NIL money game, and maybe seeing some limits put on it in the meantime. It’s about being a dumpster fire of a program, and Petrino being the absolute best coach willing to get within 100 miles of the stench.

My opinion, I think Pittman was about a decade late becoming a head coach. Pre nil portal, I think he could have been a pretty good HC. Good high school recruiter, good rep, a lot of coaching contacts.

You can say the same for Bobby Petrino.

Its a bad job. Not much hope for arky. It makes strategic sense for arky and the aggies to band together and tell commissioner Skanky of the ESPN conference that we will continue playing each other as one of the 3 permanent opponents. Not fair that the swamp cooters and whorns get such an easy annual win

Aggies got the red carpet treatment similar to whorns. All home games first year etc. Their own ESPN guy in college station etc. RIP that guy passed

Come get Stoops. Like Cal, it's time for a change and we both can benefit from it.

The current Waltons that would be the natural hopes for NIL donations are only interested in mountain biking.

If I walked in with the Walton money behind me I woiuld be the next head coach.

And if Ol Hootie was teh coach you would not be seeing the effort we seen Sat on D. I dont know what has happened there but they are not trying. and the 3 main D coaches are gone as of this morning.
