If Arky is copying anybody's blueprint, it's obviously Baylor.

You could copy the UCF model. It would make a helluva recruiting pitch.

“Come to UCF, the home of make believe titles. Everybody wins and everybody gets a participation trophy.”

I think Arkansas has made some decent hires. And that's not a bad thing.. It's definitely an important piece.. Following LSU's blueprint will require one more small step though. Replace that trash Arkansas roster with 4 and 5 star talent.

They won't need a Burrow.

It's not about whether Briles is good. It's the system. His old man spent 20 years designing that offense. That's the offense that broke Mike Stoops as a man and sent his career spiraling into ruin.

What kind of offense does he run? I'm assuming a pass heavy offense but what system?

It's a veer-n-shoot/spread hybrid "check with me" proprietary offense. It's a balanced offense both run and pass and they run it at a frantic pace. Emphasis on track speed at all WR positions and playing head games with a defense.

Arkansas is copying the LSU blueprint

Smart coaches will surround themselves with a top quality staff. It has a synergistic effect.

There is a good reason that the Broyles award goes to the top assistant coach.

Frank Broyles and many other successful head coaches throughout the years have done this. It is one of the main reasons for their success. It's no secret.

Imitation is flattery plain and simple.

The problem for Arky and all the other teams that want to copy LSU’s offense, how are you going to imitate Joe Burrow? Hell how is LSU going to imitate Joe Burrow next year also. Hard to replicate the leader of just about all SEC passing records in the books.

The difference with Arkansas is the CURRENT talent and how it fits into that scheme. UGA and LSU had in place and will always get the talent in the WR, RB arena.

Arkansas doesn't currently have that level of talent. They could and should, in due time. But, will the new coach be given the time to recruit and implement that system effectively?

The sure as heck weren't with the last coach that was going to revolutionize the team.

Arkansas will always get big linemen. If they can quickly get back to having great WR, RB and QB's then they will be dangerous. But, I think they will be given 2 years. Not to turn the corner, but to be near the top or people will get cold feet again.

We live in a "results today" world and it puts lots of pressure on teams.

The shitty coaching put a damper on them but there is some talent in the skills positions on the roster.

Incorrect. The talent they need is already on campus.

Step 1 - Sign the best college QB since Cam Newton

Good luck with that blueprint.
