Arkansas had bama playing aggressively against the run, they just couldn't cash in on it due to having a below average pass offense.
I think Georgia is towards the top of the SEC on stopping the run as well, so unless our offense can figure things out, the streak likely continues.

Considering no Gurley, that is good.

Chubb ran for 143 yards. A true freshman, starting for the very first time, on the road for an SEC game diced them for 140+
For some reason this Mizzou fan has convinced himself that despite all of this and despite the fact Gurley (a YPC master) was out, the Mizzou run defense was good.
Go sit in the truck Mizzou...

Missouri gave up 34 points Saturday against Georgia.
That’s not great on the surface and the defense took its share of the blame for a 34-0 loss that dumped the Tigers from the polls and dealt a serious (fatal?) blow to hopes for a repeat in the SEC East.
“The bottom line is, if we don’t let them score, then they can’t win,” sophomore linebacker Michael Scherer said. “No matter what the offense does, if they don’t score, we can’t lose a game. That’s on us.”
It’s great that defensive players are willing to fall on the sword for the loss, but it’s just not an accurate of depiction of Missouri’s loss.
The defense did its part — aside from failing to create a turnover for the third consecutive game.
The Bulldogs were without Todd Gurley, who had been the Heisman Trophy front-runner before he was suspended Thursday amid an NCAA investigation into alleged impermissible benefits in exchange for autographing merchandise for memorabilia dealers.
Still, it’s a Georgia offense that averaged 7.11 yards play and 45 points per game. The Tigers limited the Bulldogs to 4.4 yards.
Georgia’s rushing attack mustered a meager 3.6 yards per carry.

Thank god you only lost 34-0 then. What a performance by your defense.

Yes, we are very good

UGA | Arky
202.0 (26th) Pass Def. 246.7 (70th)
101.7 (11th) Rush Def. 127.2 (35th)
We have been bowing up this year.
Clemson scored 21, SCar scored 38 , Tennessee scored 32
Your defense doesn't scare me at all.

We may be better than aTm and Bama it's still to be seen. It doesn't matter if UGA is a good enough team to beat USC because we will be good enough to be ARK. A good team doesn't lose every SEC game they play year after year. Also if you really think USC outplayed us then you didn't watch the game with all the bad calls/spots/penalties. I'd think an Arkansas fan would appreciate out playing an inferior opponent and losing.

lol. All I'm doing is correcting the misconception that Georgia is some juggernaut. It's not.
If the Arkansas I've seen multiple weeks in row shows up, they win.

A Missouri fan cannot speak on how "non elite" UGA is after that 34-0 beat down. Just be thankful that loss only counts once in the Loss column.

The way this Mizzou fan tells it we shouldnt of even fielded a team that day. Mauk wouldve scored enough points for UGA that we couldve stayed in the locker room farting Zippity Doo Da all game.

I would be willing to beat that we score more than 14. I'd also go out on a limb and say we give up more than 13, but I'm confident we score more than 14.
Arky doesn't have a bye week leading up this game, it won't be as hyped as the Bama game, I expect the D will be emotionally drained from the Bama game and it's already been announced that a starting LB is out.

Yep. Your D has played well, but the rushing defense that is holding teams to 101.7 yards rushing a game has faced rushing offenses ranked:
92nd
61st
91st
109th
108th
76th
Arkansas has the 12th best rushing offense in the NCAA.
Not saying Arknasas is going to win, but we will move the ball on you because your rush D really hasn't been tested yet.
I personally think it is going to be a great college football game to watch.

Here are your stats that show Ga's offense is worse than Bama's O.
You DO realize that says that Georgia is averaging 43.2 points a game and Alabama is averaging 32.2? I THINK points are how a game is decided, unless they changed the rules.

I think Saturday will be a close game. I'm not counting on Gurley being back, and I think Chubb and Douglas will have their work cut out for them in the running game. We've gotten some of our dominant receivers back, our secondary has improved significantly, and Mason did a much better job of controlling the tempo of the game this past weekend. If UGA is going to come away with a win, all of those things will have to have happened...especially Mason's ability to play well and stay collected. Arkansas is a good team, and they're hungry. This one will be interesting.

We will slow your rushing game down. You're too good to shut down. WAY too much trolling going on in this thread.
Posted on 10/14/14 at 5:36 pm to DawgsLife
I'm not trolling. I just think this game is going to be a good one. Your strength on D is our strength on O. That should be a good match up. Why did you think I was trolling? Because I said we will move the ball on you? Your D hasn't seen a run game like ours yet, so yes, I think we will still run for around 200 yards.
That is what we do on offense, so why wouldn't I think that? Like I said, I personally think it is going to be great college football game to watch.
