not praising him, it's the Bama and Ark fans who have been quoting the network BCS guru's predictions over the likes of lsumatt (who turns out to be right about the Arkansas has no shot prediction)

I guess I do on some level and I'm sure the team does as well...but as a fan I'll just be sitting there wondering who we will play for the BCSNC

LSU will not receive 1 single vote over Arkansas in human polls with a loss to them. Not 1. That is 2/3 of the equation. Ok St is #2 in the computers and look at where they are. LSU has 0 chance staying ahead of Arkansas with a loss and it's a fricking fact. LSU will still be #1 in the computers and it doesn't matter. computers are 1/3 and voters do not care. They watch you play on the field friday so it's win and you're in. The whole country outside delusional LA know it.

It's funny how LSU used this same argument last season but didn't change the fact that voters watched them settle it on the field. And that was at Arkansas and it was a good game. This is even more obvious bc it's Arkansas on the road. LSU it is a must win game and that is final. Good luck.

I seem to remember the LSU fans claiming last year around this time that the Sugar Bowl would take LSU over Arkansas even with a head to head loss. Just sayin

Brad Edwards: I'm having difficulty coming up with a scenario by which Arkansas could win the 3-way tie. I think the Hogs' best chance to win the West is for Auburn to beat Alabama. The problem is that LSU is so much stronger than Arkansas in the computers (even with one loss), that if LSU falls to 3 in the polls and Arkansas moves up to 2, LSU would still finish ahead in the BCS because of those computers.

If that really is what Brad Edwards says, he's an idiot. If Alabama loses, a 3 way tie scenario does not play out, because there is no 3 way tie! It's not consistent with what I have heard him say, either--- the guy is pretty good with his numbers.

If, as he contends, Auburn beats Alabama, Alabama then has 2 conference losses, and falls out of a tiebreaker scenario as there would be 2 teams with only a single conference loss. It won't matter what the head to head Arkansas-LSU BCS numbers are, because the actual head-to-head game would be the tiebreaker that would resolve who went to Atlanta.

Keep telling yourself that - so what would these voters' 1-2-3 look like?

Bama-Arky-LSU? If you don't think a single voter would have LSU over Arky, why do you think a single voter would have Bama over LSU?

But if the math dictates that the SEC Champ game ship has sailed, then you must understand Hog fans' desire to see the possible scenarios that will result in the biggest prize available for the Hogs, which strangely could be the BCSCG if they beat LSU, and other things fall into place.

i know that. you know that. brad edwards knows that. and even said as much in the post you quoted. everyone knows that.

so i guess the real question is...what is the purpose of your post? to tell us all (including brad edwards) something we already knew?

I know. It's amazing how ignorant Arkansas fans are when it comes to the BCS system.

In 2/3 of the polling, Arkansas will be ahead of LSU. LSU will not have a single fricking #1 vote. Not one. Arkansas will split the #1 votes with Bama.

Computers added in, that will be enough for Arkansas to be #2 in the BCS, and I don't give a frick if that puts Bama or LSU in the SECCG.

Let one of those two go play Georgia. We will plan for the BCSNC.

I'm not arguing that Arkansas will go to Atlanta. I'm saying I don't give a frick if we don't.

BCSNC > SECC

You are the opposite of correct sir

Arkansas needs a ton of help to pass LSU in the BCS. Probably too much help from other teams losing for it to happen

If it breaks like this then I think you would be right:

1) arky beats lsu
2) auburn beats bama
3) ou beats ok state
4) south carolina beats clemson
5) fsu beats florida
6) A&M beats texas
7) oregon state beats oregon
7) pitt beats wvu
