how long are y'all handcuffed to LR for games anyway?
2 more years...but I live in LR and love to have the games here, if a day game. I have an interest in a restaraunt here. Night games we might do 200 dinners, but day game we would do 600. At 30pp avg that's a lot of dough to lose.
Moving the games to Nam helps the program...but personally effects me

so this is incorrect?

With the occasional exception of a game of national importance (Alabama, 2010, for instance) they seem to dislike walking across the street for a game in Fayetteville too, or at least sticking it out through the third quarter. But that's a story for another day.
This part is.
Students camp out in front of the stadium like 5 days before the football game.

Why would anyone want to drive all the way to the northwest corner of the state, pay for parking, have a crappy tailgate experience, pay for upper deck seats, get stuck in traffic on the way home if you stay the whole game or buy a hotel for the night, when you could avoid all that and see a much better view of the game from your big flat screen television from the comfort of your or your friend's living room?

Dr. RC, I remember Arkansas State beating the Aggies in Kyle Field about 4 yrs. ago. You really belong in the SEC.

Sounds somewhat similar to the same gripes a Jackson resident might have about driving out to Oxford or Starkville for games.
Way to support your team, Jon Ham!

Little Rock is on its way out nothing more here to read. It's a large issue in the state and now with all the good games on the hill and 20,000 more seats sold at RRS, I wouldn't drive three hours from Fayetteville to Little Rock either as a student or donor while sitting in luxury on the hill. Old habits die hard.
Reference the article it's about students and ticket packages to Little Rock not Fayetteville. Watch how many people show up for Jackson State in Fayetteville which will be more than Little Rock against Ole Miss. That says more about Little Rock than the opponent.

I'm a season-ticket holder and I haven't been to a game in Little Rock since 2005 or so.
I think the article is an off-season stoking of the anti-LR sentiment more than anything.
Our home stadium has 72k permanent seats. We'll have more than 72k for just about every game in Fayetteville regardless of opponent. Bama and LSU will be more like 75-76k.

This, and terrible bait. Per capita we have one of the strongest if not strongest fanbases in the country

All this hate toward Upig. Why does everybody here hate a team named after breakfast food?

With future expansion coming in Fayetteville, more fans, improved tailgating, on campus, new video board and atmosphere it's no wonder demand for Little Rock has drastically decreased. While skyboxes and club seats increase in Fayetteville.
Personally, I'm glad to see us moving away from the Rock regardless of the fun games I saw there. My family has generations of ticket holders yet we made a handleful of Little Rock games the past decade. Opponents are subpar, tack on driving and the metal bleachers don't do much for me. Not to mention its 3 hours from campus so I can't even visit my old stomping grounds.

Stephens, Robert Shields and Rey Pygsterio to be precise

And that's with 30k student tickets. We only offer 9500 student tickets, by comparison.

Is he correct when he says they have trouble selling out a 55k stadium?
