'd laugh but it's ultimately coming to every single SEC field.
$20 million+ a year isn’t nothing to laugh at in a world where schools and NIL collectives are looking for ways to get the best players paid.

If Alabama does this crap, they can frick off.
What a shitty thing to happen. I will boycott any brand that puts their logo on Alabama's field.
Well, get ready to boycott.
In five years every school out there will have a deal. Alabama is not about to leave that money laying on the table.

I hate that we did this shite too

People have been selling naming rights for decades, it's not new.

Why not boycott Alabama? Alabama is the one that would be making the deal and giving the OK. The company or brand isn’t going to do so without the consent of the university.
So answer this, are you against the school getting money for a little paint? Tennessee was leading the way on this and when the season started, the logos didn’t look bad on the field. Tennessee is getting paid $23 million a year for 20 years to have a small logo on the field and on parts of the stadium.
If I was you, I would go ahead and prepare for it.
I don't give Alabama money, so that's a bit impossible. If I did give them money, then I would let them know beforehand my displeasure.
If you mean don't watch - I already don't for the most part. I listen to the radio, watch highlight clips and that's about it. I do not give Disney money.
My interest in college football is but a small fraction of what it use to be. Being curious about DeBoer following is about the main pull left these days.

What if Kentucky fans buy them sweet nuggets at Kroger?

You are going to see more and more of this.
Ky= Kroger Field
Tennessee has a deal too with a local grocery firm
Schools are scrambling to come up with more money.
I think schools need to cut back on money losing sports programs
If a sport can’t cover its cost cancel it.
Football should not have to pay for other sports.

Not at the rate it is happening now. Now those rights involve tens of millions of dollars.. The first $100 million deal isn't far off.
Everyone is playing 'Keeping up with the Jones".
Welcome to Nick Saban Field by Golden Flake.
Don't even tell me you are going to quit eating Golden Flake Sweet Heat tater chips.

With Petrino back in town, I would at least have thought a shout-out to Harley Davidson somewhere in the stadium was in order.

I can't see the future, but my position on it isn't complicated and I hope it doesn't happen.
I don't eat potato chips or foods that contain preservatives as a general rule.
But if I did, I'd probably grab a bag of Doritos and don't give a shite about Golden Flake giving Bear money back in the day.
I know it may be odd to come across a person with morals and values, but they do exist.

Unlike the cam newton deal this one is legal and beneficial to the entire program. Things change and we’re going to have to continue to hold our nose in order to try to keep up.

It really doesn’t make sense though. Their whole real ethos is that they are trying to make NWA a more desirable National Landing spot for their employees but they think that sports entertainment doesn’t have value. Hell, watching us go full Benny Hill almost every game is definitely entertainment. Better spent money than trying to “preserve and conserve ” the BNR, which is already a national river - they’re just trying to make it “Bentonville’s Glamping Grounds”. They’re also way behind the times on the “Mega Campus” business model - been done, just a tactic to keep kool aid drinking morons in their cubicles for longer hours.
