Watch the replay of our bowl game against pedo state and it will give you an idea of how they handle life without Burks.

You're asking if a 5 star WR is good.

He's better than Mike woods who transfered to OU and was very fair to spare. Hazelwood will find a way to be very very productive.

You say this like all 5 star receivers are good or something.

He isn't Burks. Will be more by committee until one of them step up. Jackson, Crawford, Thompson and Sategna along with him is who I would say will get the most targets at first. Dark horse of Bryce Stevens who should take over PR duties.

I think replacing Burks will be tougher than Arkansas expects. He was the most dominant receiver in the SEC last year IMO. I think I saw somewhere that he accounted for a little over 20% of total offensive production. That is hard to replace in any aspect. I think Haselwood is good, but there will need to be significant help with other WR's. Look for Thompson to get a lot of touches.

You can't replace a guy like that. He was hurt most of the year and still balled out. We will lean on the run until one of the new WR's step up. Luckily we have tons of returning experience on the OL, 3 stud RB's and a veteran QB so we should be able to produce enough offense win games without a ton of production from the passing game at the beginning of the year.

I think LSU needs to worry about LSU.

Yeah, Burks was a monster. We will have to rely a little more on our RBs and TEs this season. IMO.

is the #1 WR in his class "even good"?
Absolutely.

Is he Burks? Naw, but he doesnt need to be.

Have to wonder if Henry will finally become what he was billed as next year. I'm excited about Knox. I hope he takes a big step and I think he can. With Kern and Burks being gone his targets should go up a lot.

Agreed. On the flip side, Jefferson locked on him a little too much at times and missed wide open receivers.

No one on the current roster will replace his dominance but hopefully Haselwood is good enough that he can take a bulk of those catches while Warren Thompson finds his hands. As noted elsewhere, I bet we are extremely run heavy the first couple of weeks with what we have coming back there.

I still remember a play from the Texas game where he did that. Smith would have walked in for a TD on a screen throw and he threw to Burks in double coverage. Burks was very much a safety blanket for KJ last year. Hope he gets better on his reads this offseason.
