Congrats to coach Mcgee if true.

shouldn't make a difference at Ark. we know who's the brains behind that offense.

Great hire for UAB. Great coach, great recruiter, great person.

I hate to lose him, but it is well deserved!

Seems like a pretty good hire to me. Isn't he supposed to be a pretty good recruiter?

Could be. I doubt he stays at Illinois since Zook got Zooked.

Paul left to get out of BP's shadow, doubt he wants to step back in it.

That's what I'm afraid of but I think it is good for there to be someone there as a calming influence when BMFP loses his temper.

He doesn't call the plays, but he was instrumental in the development of our QBs. He's a great position coach and a great recruiter.

He often played the good cop to BP's bad cop to the players. It was quite an effective situation. Going to hate to lose him.

I'm glad for McGee. Gonna be a bit of a blow to the team though.

Good luck to McGee. Guess I'll be a quasi-UAB fan now.

@JHokanson: RT @bjmillican: Per @SteveIrvine04 ESPN report is premature. McGee hasn't been offered. Probably the top candidate, not official yet.

Not sure if this is a good hire or not. If people think Saban just has puppets, this would fall in that same category. Petrino is the playcaller is he not? More his offense than anything.
