Yeah I agree. I was there the night Paul Andrews hit the 3/4 shot to beat North Harden in the finals. Tremendous game and what a way to end. Also saw Troy McKinley and Simon Kenton back in the day. Great times. As long as a Louisville team loses, it appears the rest of the state is happy.

Fact. Especially now that the traditional Louisville basketball powers are giving way to the private, previously-football-oriented schools. I remember Antwan Barbour losing his damn mind and winning the title for E-town. And Patrick sparks trying to do the same for Muhlenburg. I was so tired of Mason County's man-crush on Chris Lofton by the end of his career.

LOL.

But that Mason Co gym... geez what a HS gym.

King Rex would put on a show as well. Sadly, the rest of the talent in Owensboro didn't care for him and played somewhere besides Apollo.

So I guess Trinity and St X wised up and started recruiting basketball players as well. Wonder what took them so long?

The Hawgs have a punchers chance. The Aggies, Rebs and LSU Tigers proved that solid SEC teams can compete with them. Even a depleted Florida team gave them a good test.

would be the first loss in the month of february.

We were still here after 17 straight losses.

We don't leave early.

I think everybody realizes that KY is the most talented team in the conference. Probably was last year too.
Nobody in the conference has knocked them off this year. We're just going to give it our shot and let the chips fall where they may.

I think it's good to have another solid bball team in the mix to make a deep run in the tourney. If LSU doesn't make it I will be pulling for ARKY no doubt. I hope they make some noise in the tourney.

We disregard our teams too much (and we over inflate too much in football) when it comes to basketball. Kentucky is great right now. Arkansas is pretty darn good. You move to that next level and there are some damn good SEC teams out there. Ole Miss, the Aggies, LSU, Georgia... there are some teams that can do some damage.

I agree. I think the SEC is much better than given credit for this year in basketball. Outside of UK and Arky, the league is not top heavy and there are 4-5 other teams that can make some noise in the tourney.

Being in the conversation is a nice change. Are we on our way back up? Time will tell, I am hopeful but worried as well.

In all honesty, The SEC overall is way better off with Arkansas and KY being more powerful. IMHO

Calamari is Mike Anderson's biatch.

A&M is irrelevant even in south central Texas.
