Aren’t Bama fans bored by now?

Seriously. Has to be a bit boring. It’s a machine that rarely loses and is in contention every, single year. I ask this to the general rant population b/c some of my closest friends are huge Bama fans and as the season nears it’s not as exciting as it used to be for them. It’s an interesting study in human psychology.

Why would they be bored? They'll be anxious in a couple years when Saban starts considering retirement more seriously but boredom isn't an issue.

They are? Didn’t Bama play for the title last year even though Auburn ended the regular season #2? That’s not competing. That’s winning a meaningless regular season game...you know...like LSU 2011.

I disagree. Everyone knew Bama was in. They were the best team and that’s the purpose of the playoff regardless of regular season snafus.

Not much suspense. The expectation is so high it makes the season less enjoyable. According to my Bama friends.

I wouldn't know but I don't think boring is how you would describe it. It probably just makes the losses hurt much more than they should and the wins not seem as great. This is in regards to the games during the regular season.

Coming off another win in the Crimson Tide Invitational held each January I find myself not as excited about a new season. That is true about all years we have won the championship. Coming off that mountaintop and repeating is difficult.
Plus as I get older I don't follow the team as closely as in the past.

You would think so. But when Bama loses now it doesn't bother me near as much as when they sucked. It doesn't hurt as bad when you know they will still be competing for titles the next year even if they fall short one year.
