It's borderline criminal not to see this matchup every year.
Along with many others like UGA/S.Carolina. That's usually the first big SEC matchup of the season.

It just doesn't feel right with SC not playing Georgia. Or Florida. Or Tennessee. The 3 closest SEC teams geography wise aren't on our schedule.

I know that but Arkansas is still a Big 12 team. Sorry about it.
So are you then. We just didn’t pay 180,000 bucks for a qb when it wasn’t legal.

Arkansas was never in the Big 12.

I would if they had the @TA&M still scheduled.

Sorta but putting Florida right before BAMA seems like a troll. It’s not bc of OU but still..since expansion 1 we have wanted that game moved to later in the year and the 2nd time it happens (the first time 9/11 caused it to be played later) they put Bama the next game. Putting our top rivals back to back is not fricking cool.

Dude, Arkansas was never a part of the Big12.
BTW, I’m pretty happy with our schedule other than we never get Vandy.

No, Bama's feels a past years SEC east schedule.
Posted on 8/15/24 at 8:42 pm to Weagle25
Considering the lack of experienced talent on AU's roster, that schedule is a blessing. UGA is the only sure loss with AU always seeming to find a way to play close and occasionally beat Bama. LSU and OM on the schedule would have been two more sure losses.

No, our road schedule is ridiculous.

I hate Auburn’s. A lot easier than normal but it’s a Big 12 schedule…
No LSU
No Mississippi schools
We get:
Our portion of Big 12 teams: Arkansas, Mizzou, OU, A&M
2 traditional SEC but not traditionally football: UK & Vandy
Then 2 normal rivals: UGA & Bama.
So 2 games that feel like real SEC games.
Just wondering how everybody else feels about theirs.

Love it. Been looking forward to this since the announcement in 2021.

I miss starting SEC play with Tennessee in September. Then getting to Amen Corner of Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.
Those were the days.
It was the barn who cried their way out of Amen Corner. I'm not sure Georgia has lost to the barners since the rescheduling.

No home SEC games in October for two seasons.
I don’t know anyone who thinks this is a great way to construct a schedule.
Need to go to 10 SEC games.

Yes, all that is lacking is a marquee OOC game which will be Michigan next year. The away/neutral slate is gonna be rough. Alabama and Tennessee coming to town is big. The last really big home game for OU was back in 2016 against Ohio State. That is entirely too long. OU will have two this year alone.

So the B12 couldn't offer a big home game apart from the Shorthorns at the fairgrounds? Just reminds me that we are about to have a 9-3 Kansas State coming out of the B12 this season who will not only get into the playoff but a bye to boot. This is what you get when the football committee isn't mandated to pick the top 12 teams.
