We're going into week 7. The season is half over. Most teams have quality matchups by now. Texas has played one conference game and it was against Mississippi State. Who has had it easier?
I mean they traveled to Michigan and beat the shite out of them. What has A&M done? What has LSU done? Texas will end up playing the same number of SEC games as everyone else. It will all work itself out. They are a team that made the playoff last year and up to this point, they have dominated everyone they have played. That's why people think they are good.

With Texas, it’s not what have you done, its damn you sure have looked good doing it.

quote:Michigan also struggled with Arkansas State, barely beat Minnesota, and just lost to an unranked Washington team. They will finish with 3-4 losses this year in a much weaker conference. If that's your quality win, you don't have much.
I mean they traveled to Michigan and beat the shite out of them.
quote:Dogwalked a top 10 team and beat an Arkansas team that turns out is pretty good. They also aren't ranked #1 or anywhere close to it.
What has A&M done?
quote:Nothing. Which is why no one is picking them to do much of anything. Also not ranked #1 or anywhere close to it. The exact opposite of Texas. Thank you for proving my point.
What has LSU done?

(hilariously untrue)
hilariously? I don't know about that. basically only Alabama has "played anyone" and then they promptly lost to Vanderbilt.

Wait you are considering Mizzou a top 10 team? The same Missouri that struggled with Boston College and Vanderbilt?

It's because they have already lost and struggled against inferior teams. Neither of which Texas has done.
Please list all of the undefeated teams that have dominated every game and have multiple very impressive wins that should be ranked #1.

ULM
UTSA
Colorado State
Michigan
Wow what a resume.

maybe. not sure what your point is though. other undefeated teams have equal or worse schedules.
is this your first time watching college football?

not sure what your point is though.

Multiple teams. So what, we still have half of a season to play. Do you think the team that has the toughest SOS should just be the #1 team?
Posted on 10/8/24 at 5:39 pm to Drewbie
In fairness, Tenn still hasn’t played anyone either :)

This!
OP maybe you should take your inquiries to the 52 AP voters and the 44 Coaches that voted Texas #1.

Multiple teams.

After we beat OU and UGA, you will say Texas hasn't played anyone.
After we win the SEC, you will say Texas hasn't played anyone.
After we win the national title, you will say Texas hasn't played anyone.
Sit back, shut up and enjoy our victory march.

A lot of teams. I’m not going to list every single team that has a lower ranked SOS than Texas. You can look it up.

What question am I dodging? As of right now Texas’ resume is being undefeated and beating the shite out of every team they have played, which includes a road win against the defending national champions. They were elite last year and have dominated everyone they have played thus far. I’m telling you that’s why people think they are good.
Again, please list all of the teams that should be ranked ahead of them and why. Be specific.
I hate Texas too, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see why they are currently the #1 ranked team.

It's ok. Keep being obtuse. You keep bringing up rankings when that was never the topic of discussion.
quote:Embellish embellish embellish. Michigan is not good.
which includes a road win against the defending national champions

quote:Again, literally never brought up rankings. Only the perception that Texas is somehow the best team in this conference because they look good against bad competition.
Again, please list all of the teams that should be ranked ahead of them and why. Be specific.
Just like Tennessee, which was the point.

Surely you aren’t considering Michigan to be a top 10 team then…

LSU. You could also argue A&M. Their best win is against an extremely overrated Mizzou team at Kyle Field, other than that they’ve played ND (lol) and Florida.
