Some could have seen them play as a child in 1939 and then graduated from A&M 20 years later...they would be in their 90s.

How many Ole Miss fans are old enough to remember NOT winning a title in 1963 but choosing to claim it anyway? Their kids would later go on the hang an “SEC West Champions” banner that was also never won.

I need to dust off my aggy calculator spreadsheet and see what date in history is closer to 1/1/1940 than today. I know they are chilling in 1855 somewhere just not sure where.
Bleeding Kansas and the Crimean War were the big events of that year. Franklin Pierce is the current POTUS and up next in a couple of years is Millard Fillmore the last Whig POTUS and last non Repugnican or Demonrat.
The good news is most of the presidents of that era had short terms so it won't take them long to get down into the single digits as they work their way to George Dub
