Yep, cost Archer his job.

Wasn't that the one with Kinchen getting called for offensive pass interference in the end zone?

most of us with deeply ingrained defensive mechanisms realize that 7 games is a biiiiiiit too short of time to accurately assess how good a coach is or will be.

Good luck with kirby.

LSU fans are quick to spot delusion outside their ranks.

So 7 games is enough time IYO to accurately assess how good a coach is or will be?

I wonder if you thought the same thing after saban lost to UAB in 2000. Just think, it could have been damn near 50 years between titles for y'all if yall gave up saban for one crappy loss. I bet you're glad you gave him some time huh?

LSU's loss to UAB was 4 games into the season and was following 2 awful years under DeNardo. The very next week, LSU knocked off No. 11 Tennessee.

There are system coaches, and there are culture coaches. Kirby fits into the latter. It takes the culture coaches a while to set the tone, cull the malcontents, and bring their people in. Which requires a fanbase to be patient. Saban went 6-6 his first year.

It will be interesting to watch Kirby recruiting this year. That will tell a lot. If Georgia recruits are suddenly going on fishing trips, getting laptops, driving Dodge Chargers, will know that "the process" is indeed in order. The East is ripe for a long run if he can get the booster groups and the administration to play ball.

Our Ad, The guy who hired him. We need to give him time to get his guys and reevaluate. Losing to Vandy is hard though

System coaches can often have a quicker success because it is focused on plugging the current pieces into the machine. Culture coaches are about building the machine itself.

Willing to wait it out till Richt's players graduate & Kirby gets his guys in place. No one was expecting a ten win season this year. Four losses always a reality.

Kirby would get the blame. The head coach always gets the blame.

How the frick is waiting more than 7 games to make a judgment on a first year coach, delusional?

Haven't seen it put like that but it makes a ton of sense. I imagine system coaches are coaches like Gus, Briles, Leach, etc... and culture coaches are Chris Peterson, Saban, Shaw, Harbaugh, etc...

I think being a total question mark about it at this point is delusional.

I think "it's not looking good so far but it might work out and I am glad my program rolled the dice" is the most rational perspective.
