Of course, and Enos won't be leaving Arkansas unless it is for another head coaching job. I doubt he leaves for a while though. His contract is up after this season and he will have a boat load of money coming his way here.

Thankfully Enos is under contract until June 30, 2019. LINK /

First , the relationship between CMR and UGA had gotten old and stale, and it really was the best to part ways. CMR even looks different on the sidelines in Miami, energized.

Kirby has been the chosen one for years, and with the interest building from other schools UGA had to move.

The Channey really was baffeling, the only reason that makes sense is to secure Eason with a pro style OC. I had preferred to make a splash with an up and coming dynamic OC.

UGA really had some misses in 2013-2014 and it's showing in leadership and play from uppper classman.

I think Kirby will get it right, but it's gonna take time, and I don't know how many of the current staff will be here by the time we get there

Also, Ad. GM is the worst hire ever and should lose his job.

Didn't Kirby try to hire Enos?

That's his way of saying UGA needs to get blacker at QB and join the rest of the CFB. It's a sentiment amongst some of our fans. They call it recruintjng "dual threat" guys but we know what they mean. I'm all for it.

I didn't like the Smart hire at the time and still don't.

We are right were we would be with Richt. Our expectations for the first year head coach are basically being met with the current record.

However, we expected that the bone head mistakes wouldn't happen like it did with Richt and they are. For Kirby's first year, I expect him to clean it up by year 2.

And if we beat UF, everyone will be back to what a great hire everyone was.

Damn. I don't understand the optimism. I'd be melting hardcore right now if I were a UGA fan.

why? we were expecting 8-4 or 9-3 and both are still in play.

That is a success.

Have you seen your last 5 games? I might be melting if I were you.

5 very realistic loses. You probably aren't favored in any of them and no bowl game.

I agree. This was never going to be a quick fix so it will take some growing pains. Should we ever be losing to Vandy? No. But teams get upset all the time, it's college football. This should be a really good learning experience for Kirby. It will all be on how he responds after this season to tell us what we need to know.

And I know it's been beaten to death but the fact that we have 3 contributing players out of 32 from the 2013 class is absolutely mind blowing.

Don't speak for me!

I was not saying that. Why hire Channey, when there are a lot of up and coming guys who have new ideas. I wanted to keep Eason and am glad we got him. I don't care so much about dual threat , just new ideas on offense a changing of the the times. But the hire did seem to passify a pro style offense.
Look at what Texas is doing on offense , Buchelle isn't black but they move the pocket and sling it and then can still run with power. UTs D just sucks. I could care less if the QB is black or white or any color in between. But I would like a versatile offense, so we don't have to run a flanker every time we need offense.

most of us with brains realize that 7 games is a biiiiiiit too short of time to accurately assess how good a coach is or will be.

Because you're a first time defensive-minded HC who wants an experienced guy you trust to at least put a competent offense together.

Kirby didn't fully take over until January and had about 3 weeks to get a staff fully in place for the sake of keeping the recruiting class. It's not like he had a frick ton of options to choose from.

One of the most well established and loyal fan bases in the nation IMO.

Who gets the blame if this Kirby thing goes south?

Blame is for losers. You take calculated risks in life. We knew what we had in Richt. His act was stale and he knew it. It was time for CMR to move on and I sincerely wish him well at his alma mater, Miami. /salute. And considering Kirby is a UGA alumnus and had 7 years under Saban as Alabama's DC and assistant HC, I would say that Smart was a very reasonable/logical hire.

Kirby inherited Richt's team; a team that is lacking talent in several key areas. Also, is it any wonder that a first year HC would be struggling with a team of players recruited by our long time HC, Richt? No doubt many of the players were disappointed, even disgruntled to see Richt get fired. But once Smart gets a team of his players and more experience as a HC, we will know a lot more about his potential as a successful HC.

As for Chaney, I did not like the hire and I am not impressed with his offense so far. I just don't like hiring a fat arse and I don't see how players can respect someone as fat as Chaney. Also, yea, our OL is mediocre but blocking execution is pathetic and some of that is definitely on the offensive coaching staff.

In sharp contrast, our defense is playing well overall. But our special teams are especially bad.

I personally don't agree with that part. I think Muschamp (and now Kliff Kingsbury) showed everyone that you let the chosen son get head coaching experience elsewhere first before you give him the keys to the kingdom. It is not like yall wouldn't have been able to steal him from USC.

Just my opinion.
