Florida (7-1, loss to LSU) remaining schedule:
8 Georgia
Vanderbilt
@ Missouri
(Bye Week)
Florida State

Georgia (6-1, loss to South Carolina) remaining schedule:
6 Florida
Missouri
@ 11 Auburn
Texas A&M
@ Georgia Tech

Whoever wins in Jacksonville this weekend will have two wins vs. top-10 opponents and a pretty clear path to the SECCG. Georgia has another test at Auburn, while it’s hard to find another potential loss on Florida’s schedule. I don’t think either of these teams are scared to face Bama or LSU in Atlanta - they will likely be underdogs but it should be competitive at a minimum.

It seems like everyone is writing the winner of LSU/Bama into the CFP, but I could make an argument that whoever wins UGA vs. UF has just as much of a shot. Florida and Georgia fans, how do you feel about your CFP prospects?

If Georgia gets any semblance of offense figured out (big if), they can play with anyone.

Looks like Vegas has UGA +290 and UF +1000 to make the CFP, which surprises me since the line Saturday is only UGA -6 and Florida has a much easier remaining schedule.

Say what your u want about Mullin but he’s doing some magic in Gainesville. That roster is not great but I think they are playing better than Georgia. They were hanging with LSU til they got behind on the chains with a holding call. That game was actually closer than the Auburn game til late.

The line on the Cocktail Party has been going nuts. Opened -3.5 UGA and already to -6. After reading the Rant for a few weeks, I fully expected Florida -30. WTF

I agree. If Georgia's offense doesn't show then I don't think it will all season. I think Auburn has a real shot at beating them too.

If they wake up then watch out.

This is a big one with playoff implications.

With LSU off I have the opportunity to pay close attention.

Im looking forward to it.

Mullen May be the best X’s and O’s Offensive coach in the league and Grantham plays a style of defense I love. Mullen is one hell of a coach and will be a slam dunk at UF. Kirby needs to keep up his recruiting and take a page out of Eaux’s book and modernize his offense.

It absolutely was. LSU was in control of the auburn game as soon as we took the lead in the third. UF always seemed closer

After the Gators win on Saturday we will ramp up the playoff talk but a rematch with LSU or SECCG against Alabama will temper the enthusiasm.

It’s not taking a shot at Georgia.
It’s an unbiased prediction.
Florida just looks like the better team right now.
At this time I think Bama looks better than LSU, it’s just my opinion. A month into the season LSU looked like the better team.
Settle it on field.
Results matter, not what fans predict.

LSU fans know as well as anyone that it’s hard to beat a team twice in a year. Honestly if we manage to get to Atlanta I’d rather play UGA as of right now. That could obviously change based on the outcome of the cocktail party.

If Georgia wins Saturday, does anyone think it creates a scenario where the SEC could get left out of the CFP? Right now I could see Auburn beating UGA at home, which would mean you have a 2-loss team with a loss to SCar in the SEC championship game.

Those playoff odds seem crazy . After the head to head game UF would have 3 games they should win and the SECG . Georgia would have Auburn , A&M and the SECCG . I don’t think either team makes the playoff. Neither one of them have a QB in the same class as the top teams .

Georgia is about to go off on Florida and show that they are legit. They have the talent. For this game, they have the want to.

On the Rant yes. Nationally, no. It's been talked about all week and will continue to be so. It's not quite as excited as Bama/LSU because we aren't undefeated. It's still going to be the game of the week and most people will be watching the game, because this weeks game slate is awful

Georgia has college football playoff level talent.

And small high school level offensive coaching, which may be an insult to small high schools.

Florida 24 - 10 UGA

Game is never close because Georgia can’t move the ball.

Georgia is like last year over rated ! LSU beat the crap out of them & Texas whipped their arse out in the Bowl game!
