It's been one day since they announced the QB position would be open and already TAMU are world beaters.

Do you all intentionally do this to yourself each year?

Actually very scared about Murray the next few years. He is Manziel but faster

He's 5'6" and has a noodle arm.

Super Great News For A&M = Allowed if not related to football

Yeah cussing out an offensive coordinator then strong arming the head coach into an open QB competition is definitely the beginning of a legend...

Not my work...

A History of Aggy QB in the 21st century:

2001 Starting QB Mark Farris is a junior, and was the starter in 2000 as well. He's not particularly impressive w/ a 58% completion rate, 8 TD and 9 INT, especially coming off of the most prolific season in school history as a sophomore in 2000. The team wins 8 games, including the Gallery of Furniture Bowl over former SWC foe TCU (6-6). 2 year starter, most prolific in school history = big things as a senior!

2002 Starting QB Dustin Long is a sophomore and had a very good year. The 2nd most prolific by an Aggy, in fact. His success doesn't translate to wins however, and the team wins only 6 games and no bowl games. His junior year will be even better!

2003 Starting QB Reggie Real Deal McNeal is a sophomore who throws for 800 fewer yards and 11 fewer touchdowns than his predecessor. Somehow, with such an effective offensive weapon, the team only wins 4 games. Big things are ahead as a junior!

2004 Starting QB Reggie McNeal is a junior and runs for more yards than Bucky Richardson, setting an Aggy record for offensive yards in a season. Those yards get the team to 7 wins, and a bowl loss to The Other UT. As a senior, the reigning 1st Team All BigXII QB is coming to lead his team out of mediocrity!

2005 Starting QB Reggie McNeal, a senior, graces the cover of Dave Campbell's Texas Football with Vince Young, the greatest quarterback in the history of The Great State of Texas. Real Deal throws for 800 fewer yards and throws 5 more interceptions than than his previous year. The team wins only 5 games and for the first time in the Dennis Franchione era, will look to someone less real to quarterback the team next year.

2006 Starting QB Stephen McGee is a sophomore and high school legend, due to playing with University of Texas WR Jordan Shipley at Burnet High. McGee has a banner year by completing 62% of his passes, an Aggy record. The team beats that team to the West for the 1st time in 7 years, and wins 9 games before losing to Nate Longshore and the Cal Bears in their bowl game. With the most wins in 8 years and a strapping young stud under center, next year is looking good!

2007 Starting QB Stephen McGee is a junior and Coach Franchione is in his 5th year - THIS is their year! Alas, despite appearing on the cover of Dave Campbell's Texas Football with Texas Longhorn, and statewide favorite son Colt McCoy, Stephen is less efficient and throws 6 more interceptions than the year before. The team wins only 6 games and loses the Alamo Bowl to creepy Joe Pa and the Penn State PeePee Touchers. McGee has work to do, but he's redass Aggy who beat the Longhorns two years in a row and will have a new coach as a senior. That's when he'll fulfill his prophecy and go down in maroon lore.

2008 Starting QB Jerrod Johnson, a sophomore, threw for an electrifying 21 TD - the most in Aggy history. A new star was born in Collie Station! The team, however, only managed 4 wins. The gunslinging junior and NFL pedigree head coach would pull it all together in 2009.

2009 Starting QB Jerrod Johnson, now a junior, has the best year an Aggy has ever seen from a signal caller. 3500+ YDS, 30 TD and only 8 INT earn Jerrod 2nd Team All BigXII, behind his better, Colt McCoy from the University of Texas. The team wins 6 games with a bowl loss to the most forgettable no-name Georgia Bulldog team ever. With McCoy leaving for the NFL, Johnson would dominate the BigXII as a senior.

2010 Starting QB Ryan Tannehill, a junior, took over from Johnson halfway through the season and performed admirably. He led the team to the most wins in 4 years, another victory over the tea sipping Texas Longhorns, and a bowl loss to Les Miles' least talented LSU team ever. As a senior and in the head coach's 4th year, 2011 would be a breakthrough year for Aggy.

2011 Starting QB Ryan Tannehill, now a senior, almost equaled Jerrod Johnson's 2009 TD mark, and doubled his interceptions from the same year. The team only won 7 games, including a win over mighty Northwestern and the zero NFL players on their roster. Tannehill and his coach were headed to the NFL, leaving Aggy just as Aggy left the BigXII. A high scoring offensive genius with Texas roots and the ability to relate to today's athletes would bring Aggy into the modern era.

2012 Starting QB Johnny Football was only a redshirt freshman, but boy oh boy was he a special one! The Maroon Messiah threw for 26 TD and ran for another 21! He was UNSTOPPABLE* on his way to the Heisman Trophy, slaying the mighty Elephants from Alabama and Bob Stoops' Cocksucking Dirt Burglars as the team racked up 11 wins and a 3rd place SEC!SEC!SEC! West finish. Only The Godfather Farmer, RC Slocum himself, had ever achieved 11 wins. This kid, and this coach, and this team was going to win win the SEC!SEC!SEC!, Johnny Football was going to win his second Heisman, and Aggy's run from big brother would be vindicated next year.

2013 Starting QB Johnny Football, now a redshirt sophomore, was better in every way over 2012. He thew for more yards than any Aggy ever. He thew for more touchdowns than any Aggy ever. He scored more touchdowns than any Aggy not named Johnny Football ever. He signed more autographs than any Aggy ever. He tweeted more than any Aggy ever.He out-douchebagged every Aggy ever. The team won 9 games and finished 4th in the SEC!SEC!SEC! West. They lost to 4 of the 5 ranked teams they played, with Mike Krzyzewski's Blue Devil's being the exception and also hope for next year.

2014a Starting QB Kenny Trill comes in as a sophmore and lights up the SEC!SEC!SEC! rival Gamecocks for an Aggy record 511 YDS on his way to partying himself out of a job.

2014b Starting QB Kyle Allen, a true freshman, plugs right into the system and leads the team to 8 wins including a win over the BigXII drunken hillbilly replacement for Aggy, and a 5th place finish in the SEC!SEC!SEC! West. Advantage, Aggy. 5* QB, fully renovated stadium (now the BIGGEST IN THE WHOLE WORLD), new defensive coordinator lured away from their SEC!SEC!SEC! West division rival and new Big Brother with straight cash, homey. Next. Year.

2015 Starting QB Kyle Allen begins his sophomore campaign with 13 TD and only 2 INT, before melting down against actual competition and throwing for 2 TD and 4 INT in two games before being benched for a JUCO named Jacob. [insert rest of season here]

Murray is the one. I guarantee it!

He still has to beat out Kenny Trill to be the starter, doesn't he?
