Funes and Alexander's dad met at an LSU football function, the payments had nothing to do with Vadal coming to LSU though.

Funes stole $800k yet was only caught paying one family of a player who was a four star offensive lineman.

I got "Sauces" that say he paid five other players that year. See how that works. And saying that he paid him two years past his playing days really doesn't matter. That could have been part of the deal they made before his son signed with LSU. I can't say that is true and you can't say that is false. Neither of use know. And I'm not going to believe the two men who stole from children with cancer.

I understand that payments went to a player's father, but is this really a case where a booster paid money to get an athlete to come to LSU?
Is there any indication that the LSU administration knew anything about this?

Means played in 7 games at Alabama in 2000. Started a few. He transferred to Memphis after that season.
