I don't think they should be upset with Clowney at all.
1. He didn't say anything that wasn't true, Saban is short, and he's a great recruiter that can talk a lot.
2. They won 2 NC's while Clowney was in school at SC.
The media tried to make this a bigger deal than it actually is.
Clowney went to SC and won multiple All SEC, All American awards and was he Overall #1 NFL Draft Pick. Both parties came out really well and are making a lot of money.

Clowney was going to be a top NFL pick regardless of where he went. He was no better or worse off for having attended South Carolina and Alabama won 2 out of 3 titles without him so Bama was no better or worse off without him.

So Alabama won the "team" awards, and Clowney won awards for "himself".
As a Bama fan, I prefer team awards. I guess South Carolina fans would rather Clowney win his awards instead of the team winning the SEC and/or the national championship.

I'd say they are significantly less upset than when a player leaves the state of Louisiana

We probably dont win those two titles we won because Clowney would have taken a couple of games off ( see AU, Kentucky and LSU) and been a detriment to the team. When it was all said and done we were probably better off without him because Saban would have yanked his sorry arse out of the game and he'd have transferred anyway.
That's what I'm saying.

Well, I recall vaguely hearing about Clowney's ability to discern someone's height and inability to concentrate for more than a couple minutes, but I just figured those weren't enough to help him graduate college.
