Not really any more so than an FSU win does. We recruit for just as many kids against them as we do Auburn.

We don't play FSU every year.

Auburn recruiting well hurts us not only with the kids we go head to head with, but also on the field in November.

2010 -----> 2013 is a prime example of this. Go take a gander at their commit list from the 2011 signing class and see if you recognize some of those names.

Nope. Honestly didn't even know the game was tonight until earlier. I'll find out later who wins.

I think the damage is done in that regard. I doubt there are many kids who like Auburn that will be swayed to attend there based on whether or not they win tonight or are the runner-up. They've already gotten the month of free pub.

I also recognize names like Carl Lawson off of their commit lists coming off terrible seasons.

Cheering for Auburn because they're in the SEC/state of Alabama is like cheering for the Devil because he's in the Bible.

I'm way more apathetic this year than I was in 2010 when they played Oregon. I think I'm way more secure with our program now. We've won three out five, will be top five preseason next year, and our bringing in another #1 recruiting class so I don't really concern myself anymore with what other programs are doing,

I actually agree completely with this. I'm in the same boat for the most part. I just refuse to pull for Auburn for competitive reasons.

My level of hatred for them has subsided substantially since 2008, and even more so over the last couple of years.

I think most of the hatred is rooted in the insecurity that was produced during the "streak" under Tuberville. As that streak has become irrelevant, my hatred for Auburn has subsided - mainly due to our own success.

The ONLY reason to ever pull for your rival is for your team's immediate benefit (ie, needing them to win so you can lock the division or needing them to pull an upset to secure a top 2 BCS berth.)

This guy is. Hope they win another one for the SEC. In 50 years, they will talk about this "old" BCS format and how the SEC just straight Jameis Winston'd that bitch.

CMON AUBS! Good Luck tonight!

I actually have no problem understanding why it does matter to some people and why it doesn't to others. I also have no problem with either point of view.

I have a lot of Au grad friends, so it would be cool for them and the State. I really do not personally know anyone who is a FSU fan/Alum. Honestly, I really do not care who wins the game, it will not affect me one way or another.

I can laugh at all the Au goobers on here if they lose or congratulate them on the great season. War Eagle!

I don't really hate AU, but there's no way I will pull for them to win a bowl game.
