There’s a generalized hatred for UT among a lot of people because a lot of current young/mid age adults grew up watching UT beat their arse (with the exception of Florida fans). The tables have turned big time and people love to see it.

I don’t know why you are laughing, we beat everyone but Florida for a solid 6/7 years like 95-01. Half the current announcers were on teams we regularly smushed.

You obviously can tell who is new at the CWS. Alot of Tennessee fans were wearing Tee Martin and Manning jerseys

From 95-99 the only SEC teams we lost to were UF and arky one time. 95-01 we went 47-9 in the SEC, 73-14 overall, and finished outside of the top 10 once.

LSU barely played Tennessee when Tennessee last was an elite program. The few years we did, we won some pretty big games, one really big game in particular. Other than Alabama, most west fanbases don't have any real reason to dislike Tennessee because we barely played them. Tennesee doesn't even get a lot of hate on this message board (aside from Alabama fans) and didn't until Serranneaux made it his point to be one of the more obnoxious posters on here. If he hadn't spent so much time shitposting, I think most people would actually be rooting for UT to win right now.

I agree, I feel the same way about auburn. I have been mostly indifferent towards LSU (had a great time visiting for the shitty 2010 game when I was a freshman) until recently I’ve developed a slightly chapped arse towards y’all because of basketball (and all these fricking baseball threads about us aren’t helping

Truth be told, I typically root for Tennessee when they're not playing LSU. My Wife is a UT grad and I actually met her at that infamous 2010 game weekend. I'm also from and live in Tennessee, so I have plenty of really close friends who are UT fans. Back when LSU was horrible in the 90s, I tended to follow Tennessee casually since we rarely had anything to play for after like September . I've always been a big fan of Peyton Manning.
