Also, who would possibly be taping this and why?

Why the hell would the NCAA prez be making the statements he has if he knows there is a tape out there to discredit everything he has said?

Like I said before: You are clearly the dumbest person alive.

The committee that ruled on it did so based on Auburn's investigation

Different committee had the tapes is my understanding

What happen to all the rumors in Nov about the NCAA meeting with Bell,Roger and Bond. So now they did not meet with them and just took AU's word for it. You and Moore need to get your stories straight.

Wouldn't this be bad for state too? Considering they were offering money too?

we didnt offer any money- the tapes prove that. Cecil clearly says what Tenn and Auburn are offering

that's not the REINSTATEMENT COMMITTEE. What do you not understand about that?

So he withheld these tapes from the NCAA and FBI? Good move by him.

I am sorry, but Moore is a idiot. He has been on this campaign to take the Championship away from Auburn since the Cam deal started. He is a known liar and has spent time in jail on felony charges, so until he produces the tapes , I will laugh at anyone who beleives him.

The NCAA doesn't care about Auburn.

They were definitely worried about their Prince Charming turning into a toad before the Ball.

Everyone has been paid by now. The Ball is over and midnight is here. I have no vested interest in this, and truth be told, everyone with allegiance to LSU and the rest of the SEC West should hope for Auburn to get their wrist slapped and avoid serious sanctions.

A strong Auburn is better all the way around, unless you're a Bama fan. But, I think a kid capable of making the kind of comments he made at the Combine, is going to have had a hard time not slipping up along the way, when they pinned their hopes on this flimsy "Cam didn't know" alibi.

I really didn't think USC would ever suffer with all their flagrant violations, and when all was said and done, there really didn't exist any proof of USC actually providing any contraband, but we see what happened.

Hold on tight.

If there are tapes, then they also PROVE that MSU boosters were involved in the bidding of a recruit. MSU representatives met with the agents (Kenny Rogers & Cecil Newton) and a payment plan was put together to get the money disbursed to Cecil.

Hell, the whole thing got so far that an MSU bag man (Bell) was called in to start the disbursements...... MSU ain't in the clear if tapes are involved, not by any stretch.

That is too funny. The problem is the bammers and the haters beleive crap like that. Someone puts a dumbass comment out like that, and before long it becomes fact.

I was very pleased with how that whole issue was handled. Our staff and enforcement did a great investigation, did it quickly and got to the facts as best we could find them…The fact of the matter is, as we got to the facts that we could uncover, they led to the right conclusion and it was that there is no evidence there was anything inappropriate with this young man and with that institution had occurred…The burden of proof for the NCAA is a little deeper than the burden of proof for a blogger.

They probably didnt want to hurt their college football season by declaring the best player on the best team ineligible at 12-0.

Then why, when all of this started to come to light in early November, were there stories out there that when the Newtons left Starkville after the Egg Bowl people were calling Bond/Bell/whoever wanting to know if they were going to do this?

I guess being willing to offer money and actually offering money are two different things.

Maybe a better question is, did MSU boosters "agree to offer" anything?

So the NCAA comes to Auburn after doing an investigation and says "You really shouldn't play Cam this weekend against UGA."

Auburn goes ahead and plays him against UGA and Bama.

Auburn then says "Hey NCAA, we agree with you, something is up, we are declairing Cam inelligible. Will you look at our info and see if he can be reinstated?"

The NCAA then says "OK, we wll look at your info, but completely ignore our info where we said you probably should sit him. OK, he can play again."

This is exactly what happend !!!!! Makes perfect sense....

I'm sure this is old news, but what comments did Cam make at the Combine? I guess I'm out of the loop with that

Or you prb know absolutely nothing and if you guess right you were "right all along" if you are wrong then no one remembers and you fade back into anonymity behind your screen name. So what I'm trying to say is you really aren't going out on a limb here.
