Thank you, DBG.
He must not appear in the Dothan Eagle or Anniston Star or the Holy of Holies - The Birmingham News.
Then again, your average Gump probably considered Readin bout as arrogant as Rithmetic.
So they have no use for it.

Craig Krenzel was talking about nick saban recruiting him on the radioDate Posted: 1/9/2010 11:58:AM he said nick came in and introduced himself to his family then left the room momentarily. craig and his brother both looked at eachother and said, "wow i dont like this guy" they then went on to some basketball game together and apparently it was the longest 2 hours of krenzels life. i dont get why people would want to play for such a jerk

he was detested by his employees at LSU, and arrogant/snippy with the LSU media sounds like the more things change, the more they stay the same wait till the bama media, boosters and player's families get the "saban treatment" in tuscaloosa...should be excellent comedy them bama boys are used to something completely different than what they are getting __________________

Alabama coach Nick Saban: It's not just fans in south Florida and in Louisiana who are sour on Saban. ("Nick Satan" T-shirts, anyone?) In our recent ESPN The Magazine survey of college players, Saban was the runaway top answer to the question, "Who is the last coach you'd want to play for based on what you know?" In fact, Saban was named almost twice as often as any other coach. Apparently, word from some Tide players has circulated. "Guys never have anything good to say about him," one SEC player said.
quote:
It makes me grateful and proud that my team has a coach in Kyle Whittingham who is not only good at his job, but is a good person. Saban really comes off as a dick all the time! Seriously, I don't know how he recruits? And if you're a fan of a proud Alabama Program that is in rich in football tradition it's gotta suck when your team loses and your leader isn't some humble blue collar guy that is graceful in defeat. Instead he is just gonna be the arrogant prick he is that will blamestorm until the end of time!
My arch-nemesis Nick Saban is at it again when he was at a camp with former Utah OC Andy Ludwig and saying how they should have beaten Utah by two scores:
quote:
“Former Utah OC Andy Ludwig was in attendance for Saban’s lecture. Ludwig, who is now the OC at Cal, presented Thursday morning and took a little offense to Saban’s remarks. Ludwig opened the lecture by saying “I try to keep everything simple.
You know, I sat here last night and listened to a man say how he had 30 different ways to run cover 2, and I’m just sitting there thinking to myself, ‘geez, I only have one way to run a dig route’. But you know what? That one way was more than enough to beat him.” (he was talking about Saban)
Later, towards the end of his speech he said, “You know, I’m sitting in the audience and I hear ‘We should have beat Utah by two TDs’ and I almost stood up and said, ‘yeah, but you didn’t.’ It’s kind of hard to win by two tds when you’re down 21 points in the first half.”
quote:
WOW!! How arrogant is Nick Saban, there is no need to rehash the beat down Utah gave to ‘Bama, but come on! Saying your team should have won by two touchdowns. No more on this all there is to say is scoreboard.

Le Batard: Saban leaves as a loser, weasel
BY DAN LE BATARD
The punctuation on the Nick Saban Error is greasy and greedy. You know what he was as Dolphins coach? A failure. A loser. A gasbag. And one of the worst investments Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga has ever made. He was less of a success than Dave Wannstedt and more of a traitor than Ricky Williams. There has been very little in franchise history that came with more expectations and fewer results than this hypocrite who at the end avoided the hard questions one last time.
Talk like a warrior. Behave like a weasel.
Maybe Saban would be better off in college. Because, in the pros the last few days, he has looked like a complete and utter amateur.
He will be remembered in these parts as a quitter and a liar. He leaves the franchise in last place, with what used to be his good name somehow far lower than that. And for this he'll get a $25 million raise and more job security in Alabama. Makes you wonder what USC's Pete Carroll or Ohio State's Jim Tressel are worth, doesn't it?

disagree, I realize the athlete may be there for a ticket to the NFL, but the ath schol is there to get him an education. We often lose sight of that. Case in point Chad Jones, you never know what is around the corner.

Cheetah the problem is that you and I both know 75% or more of the LSU fan base would take Saban back in a heart beat, and most other colleges would want hinm as well. He is considered one of the best in cfb and he puts lots of players in the NFL. In the end that is what matters to most people.

I know that I wouldn't. I would get rid of Miles in a heartbeat but that's just because he cannot coach(he sure as hell can recruit, though).
I would rather another coach like say a Jack Del Rio or Butch Davis

No way anyone can take Jim Litke seriously. He doesn't even have his own Wikipedia page!
In all seriousness, this article resembles something you'd see in the Auburn student body newspaper. His facts are wrong, and he brings points into his argument that have nothing to do with what he's trying to prove. He may have been on to something, but lost a good bit of credibility with erroneous information.
Guy needs to stick to writing about Seve skipping St. Andrews; college football isn't his thing.

I remember a writer in New Orleans pointing out Nick's hypocrisy when he chastised a LB from Texas for breaking his pledge to LSU and signing with the Aggies. The writer pointed out how Saban turned around and got a WR from Tulane to decommit and sign with LSU. Nick didn't mind a kid reneging on his word if it helped him.

Wow. You folks really don't know your sportwriters if you've never heard of Jim Litke.
The notion that he's some sort of Bleacher Report-type nobody is hilarious.

spot on, Saban saying that had to be one of the most hypocritical things I have ever heard. This guy would throw a kid under the bus in a second to make a buck. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

This type of attitude is ridiculous. Making fun of people for not participating in a "Sports Writers Fantasy League" is what's hilarious.
Litke might be the best writer ever, however, this article doesn't do him any favors. And someone not knowing who he is, is no different than not knowing someone like Penn Wagers or Rocky Goode. You don't have to know someone's name to know if they are good at what they do.

Have you played for Miles,Del Rio,or Davis?
Are you at practice? You do know that Davis won in the Big East with someone else's thugs.
Once again,Cheetah, are you a former player or coach?
I'm guessing X-Box!

Jim Litke words speak for themselves.
Your hope and intent to find some reason not to accept the comments on their own is lame.
What your OP asks is
can we find you some ad hominem reason to reject what reads true on its own merits.

Read: ignorance is okay, as long as you're not TOO ignorant.
I don't understand how you can put the criticism of Saban into context without knowing who's doing the criticizing, but apparently, that's okay with a lot of you.
