Great production by NFL Network about tGOAT.

Was interesting to hear Ms. Terry say they could've done the exact same thing at LSU that they've done at Alabama but Saban was still young and ambitious at that time so they went to the NFL.

Damn you, Dolphins

It's like the Football Gods came down and whispered into his ear, "Not here, Nick. Not here."

The commercials made it seem like the same footage from the HBO documentary

I DVR'd it and was looking forward to it, but someone told me it wasn't that great.

Worth a watch or no?

I mean I liked it.

A lot of talk about "The Process."

Heavy input from Bill Belichick and Ms. Terry.

I thought some of the best commentary was from Jason Taylor.

Saban changed the Dolphins from a 4-3 to a 3-4 when he arrived. Taylor talked about how pessimistic he was when he found out Saban was hired. Saban sold him on it, and Taylor basically said the switch transformed his career from being really good to a Hall of Famer.

But you're right about Miss Terry. Great commentary from her. I always thought she was the biggest factor in their decision to leave Miami. And regardless of what all the media talking heads say about when he will retire, it will start with a conversation between the two of them, and I think she will actually be the one who initiates it. That's just my opinion.

If it wasn't for Miss Terry, he would never have come. Mal Moore was a wise man to recognize that early on. And Saban would never have stayed this long if she wasn't happy.

Would have been awesome but if he were still here people would say well it’s just Saban, LSU is nothing without him. Whereas now we’ve won 2 NCs and played for a 3rd under two different coaches. LSU is bigger than any one person and is well positioned for success in the future. If we can win titles with Les Miles and Ed Orgeron we can win them with anyone and it’s nice to know that.

Still, he did a lot and hopefully when he finally fricking retires he can come back and be honored properly.

Don't kid yourself.

He never had back to back 10 win seasons on the bayou in 5 years. He's had 13 in a row in TitleTown.

Alabama > LSU

I didn't say it, Ms. Terry did.

As for back to back 10 win seasons, Les Miles did it three consecutive years after Saban left so by your metric Les Miles must be better than Saban, right?

Meh, 1999 LSU was worse off than 2006 Alabama

And we he came here he was just Nick Saban, when he got to Alabama he was NICK SABAN. And he was NICK SABAN based on what he did at LSU.

LSU made Saban, unless you want to argue Mal Moore hired him based on what he did at the Dolphins

He had a title and that was different.

But this Nick Saban will be leaving Tuscaloosa in a stratosphere nowhere seen in Baton Rouge.

If he was so wise he would have returned Sexton's phone calls in Nov about CNS's interest in the job and not let boosters mind fark him into offering Ric rod the job

Right because Dorsey playing for Saban for ~6 months vs playing for Les for 3 years makes him a “Saban player”

Les was a very good coach for about 8 years.

No doubt.

I agree with Ms. Terry though, no reason they couldn't have done the same thing at LSU.

Saban is tGOAT.

Well sure but the idea he couldn’t do the same in BR is such homer silliness

Except he didn't. You have a 5-year sample size, put it out there?
