I think the A&M/UT issues go well beyond the playing field. It has something to due with "new money" attitude brought on with the oil boom. Both want to show off their new White Caddy at the family reunion and the rest of the country is ignoring them. They blame each other.

Auburn is an all time top 13 program with multiple national championships and a bunch of undefeated seasons.

This shouldn't surprise anyone who isn't a millennial

Alabama has been historically regarded as the best college football program ever yet only holds a 10 game lead over the Barn all time.

Auburn has the benefit of not playing Alabama in the 20s, 30s and 40s.

Pretty safe bet Alabama would have won a significant majority of those games.

That's my advice.

And Bama enjoyed the period from 1907-1923.

It sucks but Kansas used to be a .500 level program until around 2010

They weren’t the historic Big8 bottom feeder that ISU and KSU were. Kansas has a dominant head to head record against KSU, even though the Wildcats have dominated the head to head ever since Snyder came to Kansas State in 1989

Despite their horrendous decade, KU still has a better win percentage than KSU and ISU. The latter had many, many horrendous decades

Well, Auburn went 6-1 against Alabama in the late 1890's, early 1900's, and the series was cancelled after 1906, not to resume until 1948. One has to wonder how the series would look if they had played during those years (since Alabama rose to national prominence in the early 20's)

That doesn't have a damn thing to do with a "neutral site". If the IB ticket split was 50/50 in Jordan-Hare, would that make it a "neutral site"?

The kick-off classics are "neutral site". Are the tix split 50/50 for those? A "neutral site" is game played on a field where each team plays there once a year. Every field is different. Auburn has a huge crown. When you play more than one game a year at a field, you know the field. You know the surroundings. You know the back drop.

Yes, but Auburn was not a dominate force at that time either.

You seem to forget, Auburn played quite a few games at Legion Field as well during the years.

You're DAMN right it would! If you have a 50/50 crowd, there's no reason to assume an advantage. That's just a crybaby mentality.

I remember. Those were some fun games to attend as a child.

up until mid 70's.

bama was playing multiple games there every year until 1998. More than a two decade difference. In fact, if you do some research, bama has played more "home" games at legion field than you have at Bryant-Denny.

Why don’t you look at the national championship count and see how close the 2 programs are.

Nope, not mad. Sports are played for the championships, so why would anyone use any other criteria when comparing teams?
