Jordan-Hare is a very difficult place to play at night. Not even the same feel at 2:30. I can so see them winning.

I believe a little rain could help auburn keep it a low scoring game , I know auburns' defense is better but BAMA had a damn good Defence and they went up and down the field . We were able to score with them , not sure auburn could do the same at this point in the season .

Of the 6 big SEC matchups, I see this one being the most lopsided (not in a good way for Auburn).

Auburn can pull it off. If I was a clemson fan I'd be worried. They play each other so much it almost feels like a rivalry game. Emotion will run high between two good programs, AU has the talent, home support, and luck to pull it off.

So you are admitting that lsu is not DBU? Interesting

Nope, I'm admitting that a school that finished 10th, 8th, 28th, 13th, and 3rd in pass defense the previous 5 years, finished 65th last year.

In that same span we have sent:

3 1st round DBs, a 2nd round DB, 2 3rd round DBs, a 4th round DB, and a 5th round DB to the NFL.

That list includes 2 Chuck Bednarik award winners, 2 Jim Thorpe award winners, and 4 different 1st team All Americans.

So if a pass defense gets that bad from DBU, it's going to look like a shite stew sandwich at Auburn.

If they do, you will see no less than 2 interceptions and a fumble from the QB that replaces Watson after he receives a helmet to the knee sometime in the 1st quarter. And, despite minimal rain, the field will be soaked and the grass will be a little long. Lucky for Auburn players, they'll have their long spiked cleats. Credit for the win will be given to the Auburn family first then God in Gus's post-game speech.

I do not like the thought of Clemson playing in Jordan-Hare at night opening weekend.

Despite being down, Auburn is still Auburn and therefore will recruit well.

However, Kevin Steele's defense up against a very very good offense headed by Deshaun Watson is not good for Auburn.
For those who don't remember, Kevin Steele was the DC at Clemson up until he let West Virginia put 70 points on us in the Orange bowl. He's really not a good DC.

And while I believe everyone on this board is severely underestimating Brent Venables' DC capabilities (he rebuilt the D last year and took it to the natty), I believe that week one will not prove a strong showing from the Clemson D.
That's going to be where Auburn has a chance - if they can take advantage of a week 1 rookie Defense.

I think Clemson will win. But I don't think its a sure lock.
