His daughter is attending ole miss. Plus, Jimbo isn’t going anywhere. They’d have to pay him 81 million to leave

I wouldn't be so sure. He just mentioned that he is really happy there, so much so that his daughter moved to the area.
"Sometimes, you reflect on things," Kiffin said. "There's so much excitement about the program, but I feel like I needed Oxford and Ole Miss a lot more than it needed me. I enjoy it here. It's been awesome and really cool.
"I don't know that I would have said that in the beginning just with living in the different cities I've lived in. With Landry moving here and Juice and how people are here, it's been really awesome for me. It's been part of a lot of changes that have taken place personally."

He’s a perfect fit for Ole Miss…

Yeah that's typically what happens in coaching
What I mean by that is I imagine he will go the Les Miles route of interviewing with other programs while on the job publicly in order to get even more frequent pay raises than he would have gotten otherwise.

I would think it's more likely that his agent is calling him.

Someone said it back a way. He will stay at ole miss and do a good job. When Saban retires he will want that job.

He’s not gay so I doubt it.

Jimbo I imagine has a huge buyout I think his contract was just extended not long ago. A&M May be stuck with him a good long while. May be like Auburn with Gus the last couple of years he was at Auburn. The buyout kept him around longer than what Auburn wanted.
It’s not just Jimbo either. A&M would have to buyout his staff and then turn around and pay another coach and staff to come. A&M will not want to hire some hot OC/DC to replace Jimbo. They will want to hire someone with a name and a track record of real success like a Urban Myer just as an example. So that’s big time money to get a guy like that even to look at the job. I know they have more money than sense out at A&M but that a lot of cash to come up with to cut Jimbo loose. They may just have to suffer with him a couple more years and hope he turns things around while they wait.

He's not lying when he says he likes Oxford. He's already making 7.5 million. His daughter is a freshman at Oxford High and has come to live with him. Then she intends to enroll at Ole Miss. He is not interested in any other job. Not Nebraska, not A & M, etc. He is no Pine Box Tuberville. He does not view Ole Miss as a stepping stone.
Some coach will take on being in the shadow of Bryant and Saban combined, but it won't be Kiff. He thinks he can win consistently at Ole Miss--and that does not mean 8 wins a year. He thinks he can compete for the SEC West and overall title and go to the playoffs. He's taken Ole Miss to a NY6 bowl in his second year.
These threads about Kiffin itching to leave Ole Miss are getting old.

You may be right as of right now but money talks and A&M doesn’t mind spending it. I think it would be hard for A&M to cough up the kind of cash to get Kiffin plus buy out Jimbo right now but if any school can do it A&M can because they have money to burn out there it seems.

You guys are gonna have to keep upping his pay to keep him. But you should. Because he is good. And worth it, imo.
You act as if this isn't the same at every program in the country. You think Bama is paying Saban what they do because they're feeling charitable?

The coaching change thing is stupid. Jimbo isn’t going anywhere. He finished ranked in the top 10 a few years ago. He can coach at aTm the rest of his life for that.
